The mantel in our family room is decorated and we have decorations up in the hall ... my daughter just took a picture of the tree and the mantel.
Hopefully I can post them if they are not too large.
We came across some ancient decorations that I pirched. I was going
to let the cats bat them arpound, however they may contain lead in the paint they are that old....

I hope you will post pics too of how you have them set up!

You are way ahead of me. However, I did just finish changing the crockery and other kitchen crap, er, paraphernalia. My way out of the way upper shelf in the corner of the kitchen holds all my XMas cups, mugs, bowls, trays, serving dishes, oven mitts, tea towels, hand towels - you get the idea. Even if you only buy one new Xmas "thing" a year, over the years, you accumulate an awful lot of stuff. Through the magic of a piece of cardboard, put on top of all the mugs that were the same size, a new shelf was created effectively doubling my storage space available.

So, all the XMas stuff is out and the extraneous regular stuff is nicely tucked away!




Kidlet is coming home later today for a few days. She has finished the term and, even better, has a couple days off from work. I think I will wait for her before I tackle the tree.

Miracle Dog

A mechanic who worked out of his home had a dog named Mace. Mace had a bad habit of eating all the grass on the mechanic's lawn, so the mechanic had to keep Mace inside. The grass eventually became overgrown.
One day the mechanic was working on a car in the backyard and dropped his wrench, losing it in the tall grass. He couldn't find it for the life of him, so he decided to call it a day.
That night, Mace escaped from the house and ate all the grass in the backyard. The next morning the mechanic went outside and saw his wrench glinting in the sunlight. Realizing what had happened he looked toward the heavens and proclaimed,
"A grazing Mace, how sweet the hound, that saved a wrench for me!"

Hi All!

Good prizes on riffer madness today but couldn't get through, well got through once but Andy said it was too early and to try again real quick.

I think today is the coolest day yet.

Gonna finally decorate the tree tonight, it's been standing all week with only the lights on it, keep meaning to do it but running out of time. Usually like to have some rum and eggnog whist doing it but don't have any eggnog! Perhaps I'll have a little port instead

my nighnors house has far more lighhts than that....I just got in fropm the party on the Street...must be 200 people there... the salvation army band is playing carols and there is lots of hot chocolaTE AND WINGS AND HOT CHICKEN SOUP... THE WHOLE ROAD IS CLOSED....I LOVE MY NEIGHBORHOOD

my camera isn't working or I would send a pic,..... maybe I have some from last year.... i'LL LOOK....OR EVERY SHOULD JUST COME FOR A DRIVE BY....SOUTH ON LIVERPOOL RD... TO ILONA PARK RD........ YOU CAN SEE IT AS SOON AS YOU TURN ON THE STREET...there isn't an inch of space on the property that hasn't got something lit up...the house..the lawn, the garage.....CITY tv SAw it from the sky and sent reporters out to cover it...every year we are on the news and last year thay made the front page of the star.... people were getting off planes grabbing a STAR paper , then driving out to see them... fingers still freezing....can't type

Happy Birthday Rockit. I still remember the days (or nights as the case may be) when you posted winning words in the middle of the night while the rest of us were sleeping. Of course those were the days before you became a "statistic". Anyhow, hope you had a great birthday.

ecat, thanks for posting pictures at the Jingle Ball. It is really nice to put faces to the screen names of our fellow Smart Canucks.

Well folks, I did some shopping today, and collected over 100 Air Miles! I use those Air Miles for booking cruises and have done two cruises by redeeming Air Miles. Right now I don't have enough for a cruise, but I'll just keep collecting them for the time being.
