After having commenting on the Sphynx I have to admit I do agree with Blazingdriver "don't buy while shelter animals die" There are so many cats and dogs that are very sad after being abandoned and left in a shelter, something to think about...........

FlyGuy, you following the Iceland fallout and the closure of airspace in northern Europe? I have yet to see an economic impact estimate, but I'm sure it will be out later today or tomorrow. This thing last erupted in 1821 and it lasted TWO YEARS!!!! Can you imagine Heathrow, CDG and Frankfurt being impacted for even two weeks?

No I have heard about the short list and not getting called.

I'm soooo pumped. Called hubby when I got the pre-call and set a plan. He jumped on-line to hear if I got the real call or not; he's the one that called the home number while I was still on air, as soon as the bells & whistles went off.
Apparently I need to apologize .... I asked him how I sounded - he said I sounded like a flake!! As a rule, I'm not flakey - pretty much think I was just really and truly (and apparently stupidly?) excited.
So, daughter's 4th year at university is now covered and I think they'll still be a good chunk of change left to go play some good golf. Well, good courses anyway, the good golf part is up to the golfing Gods on any given day!!
I'm pretty stoked!!!
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL FOR THE DCG WORDS. :sweet: I'm pretty sure that having an estimated 98% of the announced words entered helped immensely in my chance of getting the call .... and I couldn't have reached that high a percentage without your help.
PS - My pre-live to air plan was to at least reach $5,001. Anything over $5k I was stashing!
:omg: that was you!!!!:shock:holy cow, congrats!!!!
that's fantastic, you must be totally psych!

They just started it with this round. Last October, if you got the call you were guaranteed to play.

I'm following it. Is there a possibility that the wind will shift so it doen't have such an impact on Europe?

My record is a full 18 in less than 3 hours (walking) but this has to be the fastest round ever!

I'm with you psells, it will be interesting to see the ecomonic impact!
Our corporate head office is in London and most of the sales staff is stuck in Cannes right now as we had a trade show there this week. My boss (based in New York) is stuck there also and just emailed me to say he's there likely until Tuesday. (I know BooHoo he's stuck in the south of France for the weekend!). Many companies are in the same boat with their staff stranded there having to cover the extra expense of hotel rooms/meals or per diem until they can get home. It will be interesting to see how much this costs the company in the end. :omg:

My wife always got her cat in shelters. This is the first time we will pay for a cat. We do want to get two, so will probably look into shelters for the second one.
