I remember Bruce telling this story before playing "I Can't Help Falling in Love" at CNE Stadium in 1985. He tried telling the guards that he was a musician, and that he was on the cover of Time and Newsweek. They had no idea who he was, and ejected him. Elvis was out of town.

Bruce was trying to bring Elvis a song he'd written for him. Anyone know what the song was?

Yes, I am going with Andit. I didn't get to enter the contest so I am going as her guest! The time is horribly early but it should be fun and I'm curious what goes on there. I've heard the seating is hard to come by and if you get there around 6 you end up at the back where you can't hear anything. I think we are going to try to arrive at least at 5:30! Way too early but sounds like ya gotta do it! Maybe we should try to meet somehow what time is everyone else arriving? I don't know if we could meet in the line up or later on somewhere inside. We don't want to end up at the very back, Andit did that once and said you can't hear much! Yikes, am I going to be tired, if it started at 7 a.m. that would be early for me (lol)!
