Thanks for the prayers & good thoughts for my friend. She's still in limbo, waiting for surgery to remove a tumour. I'm a smidge tired, trying to take care of 2 households (well, now a third, since my folks left for Europe this afternoon).

I just wanted to thank everyone for caring. Ya'll are wonderful folks. :flowers:

OMG, that’s a lot of damage from Irene, rebate queen. You and your family must have been scared out of your wits. I am sorry to hear it won’t be a fast fix and that you had to go so long without power. Please keep us posted on how you are doing as I wish I could send more than prayers and well wishes.

kekes, my heart aches for you and your DH. I imagine it’s a helpless feeling to watch someone you love dearly suffer. If only well wishes could heal as I am sorry you two are in pain.

Thank you to everyone who checks in as manzervite has pointed out; there are other P&P forums (US and Canadian). Yet, my biased opinion is that they don’t have the same uplifting community spirit that can be found here.

I look forward to the day when you can tell us that all’s in the past with Hurricane Irene, rebate queen. I may speak too often for those here (as I still regard myself as a newbie being less than a year) yet I think of it like a physical community. You may not be able to visit as often as you like, yet may you always feel at home when you do stop by. I don’t pop by as often as I’d like either thus the long posts……

Good morning, everyone.

Just a quick update on my friend. The bad news is that it's definitely cancer & she has to have her bladder removed in the next week or so. :(

The good news is that they're taking pity on her & letting her come home for the weekend. She can't wait to sleep in her own bed. :)

Please keep the prayers & good thoughts coming. I really really appreciate it.
