My friend is slowly on the mend. I've been going over to play Scrabble to keep her mind off things. Her littlest scaredy-cat kitty has taken on the role of nurse & insists she get lots of rest. When my friend is resting in bed, the kitty sleeps beside her, keeping an eye on her. But if my friend gets up to do anything, the little kitty follows her, screaming at the top of her lungs, until she gets back to her bed. So no having wild parties for my friend, not while Nurse P is on the watch. :lolsign:
Critters & I are pretty much trapped at home today because of marathoners. My attitude has always been that the only reason I should run is to avoid whatever is chasing me. :cheesygrin:

Oh, but it used to be far worse. At one point, you could only enter 5 words an hour. & PnP used to run contests where folks would get points for voting. There was a technical glitch on one contest & some folks were getting lots of points (more than PnP allowed) while others couldn`t get any. Because of the ones who exploited the crack in the system, PnP scaled back the points values of the words by quite a bit for a few months.Quote:

I would absolutely join again. :) While some prizes are better than others, if you bide your time & keep an eye out for new prizes (they go very fast, since they are usually promo items given to SK, so only 1 or 2 in stock), you can get some really nice things. More importantly, the folks on this thread are amazing. :)Quote:

I`ve redeemed for books (a couple of novels, one on writing, one on jewelry), DVDs (Elton John`s Red Piano, Decline of the Roman Empire, some exercise vids), & a cow toothbrush holder (my best friend collects cows ;)).
I have 2 accounts - one for me & one for my folks (originally was trying to find a way to get them to play online, but it wasn`t for them so I get the work & they get the prizes that show up in their mailbox. :P
Thank you Noodge--repairs will be starting soon! The deck will be started in 8 days and the roof hopefully before then. I haven't even thought about the fence yet....Neighbor on that side is considering putting up a privacy fence, so I may not have to do anything. I will be calling FEMA tomorrow to see if I qualify for any more assistance.Quote:

Been sick for the past week or so. Wasted my time in the Emerg to be told go to my doc and specalist as they cant help me (how nice). Long story short Ive been blacking out due to the high amount of bleeding plus the pain going with it. Been trying to get appointments with both my doctors and nothing available for weeks. Now Im sick with a flu or cold my throat is killing plus the ear pain and coughing.
My babies are doing better but they have infection again. But not sure what it is now and Stripes might have a bladder infection. Both have eye infection and may have ulcers in their eyes. Waiting for the blood work to come back now hopefully its nothing serious.
