Thanks again everyone!
Thanks for the words!
thanks for the new words
thanks!
I just wanted to thank everyone for their thoughtfulness in keeping my friend in their thoughts & prayers. I am so grateful to be part of such a lovely community.
I spent some time today setting up a new spreadsheet (the other one somehow got corrupted). For anyone who is not interested in discussions, perhaps this will be a good compromise? I, for one, think the board should be a friendly forum for discussing all sorts of things, not just PnP (this is not the first time this debate has happened).
Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Saturday & has a relaxing Sunday. :)
Here's the link to the spreadsheet (if I've missed anything, please let me know). It's a bit simpler than the last one (time seems to be scarce these days in my life, must work on those time management skills :P).

Thanks for all the words!
Thanks for all your hard work, Andit! I also really enjoy the social aspects of the forum.
My beautiful fluffy white cat, Gracie, died yesterday at 17 years of age. She had been in decline for a while with feline dementia, peeing everywhere and stealing food among other things, but I will miss her immensely! She used to lay with our children when they were babies, purring and letting them grab her fur; a perfect little babysitter with all the patience in the world......

On one hand, it's bad form for somewhere to set up a telephone interview and then never call, and I don't know if I'd want to work somewhere like that.
On the other hand, you never know what was happening on the other end - maybe someone was sick, maybe there was some sort of emergency, so I would, if I were you, at least try to follow up with them. If it was an honest mistake they will probably be sorry, and maybe even a little embarrased that no one got in touch with you.
If it was anything else (they hired someone else, for example) you don't have anything to lose by asking, and it keeps you on their radar for the future (say something like "I hope you will keep me in mind for future positions").
A few months ago I had heard about potential openings in a particular government dept (I'm in Ottawa. Majority of the jobs here are gov..) and I had submitted my resume. Got a call a few weeks later asking if I was still interested in the position, and telling me someone would contact me in a few days to set up an interview. After a week or so, no one had gotten a hold of me so I emailed the person who had spoken to me, and it turned out the directive had come from the higher-ups that they had to staff the positions from within the department before looking externally, but I was also told they still had my resume on file, and now I have a contact there that I could send it to in the future...
Thanks you for the new words!!!!
