Thank you for the words! Reading about the kitty with only 2 toys...my cat doesn't need toys, she just steals all my kids toys. Anything I have bought her she has no interest in!
AQUA for 150 points good thru 2/10/12.
The word was MOBILITY (on GeoParent partner site) yet most of us claimed that word back in October 2011.
How did the baby pics go, scrapbookingoasis? Any chance you'll be sharing new pics on SC?
Ha, I don't know how you survived without 'going' daily, Ricki911. I sure hope you keep feeling better.
They went well - my friend usually does a blog post of the pics so when that's up I will put the link here.
As an aside - my kids school is doing QSP magazine sales - if anyone has magazines they want to renew and don't know anyone who does this - PM me your email addy and I will email the link to you. Just noticed that QSP this year is charging a processing fee for orders done on the 'paper form' but not for those processed online.
Thanks for the words everyone ... off to put the little monster to bed ...
Borrowed (doesn't come up in search, so I assume it's new)

My cats are constantly losing their toys to the chihuahua/jack russell in our house, especially the squeeky mice. They, too, have few remaining toys except for the big ones with the balls and tracks and dangly toys and the ones attached to all of their cat trees and scratch toys.
Thank you for the words everyone. Slowly catching up!

Baking Basics And Beyond 300,000 points
http://cdn.sheknows.com/pointsandpri...ads/baking.jpg The book is structured around techniques common to all recipes of a group. For example, the Yeast Bread chapter begins with a master recipe for Everyday White Bread and teaches--patiently and thoroughly, but in simple language--how to use yeast, a subject that usually terrifies novice bakers. Eleven recipes follow: four breads, four dinner rolls and three pizzas, all requiring the same key techniques. Throughout all recipes, explanations and precise tips make readers feel as though there is a friendly teacher in the kitchen, peering over their shoulders, and guiding them toward perfect results, every time. Included are many traditional and old-fashioned American favorites such as Buttery Crescent Dinner Rolls, Dark Chocolate Cake with Praline Filling and Cranberry Nut Tartlets. Most of the recipes are easy and recognizable, if not extremely familiar. Some of the recipes, such as Turtle Cheesecake Pie, are variations of classics but with a little twist that makes them unique. Baking Basics and Beyond differs from other books on baking because it concentrates on basic techniques and simple directions. No prior experience is necessary. Although Sinclair has a master's degree in Foods, much of her baking experience came at home. She began baking in elementary school by learning how to bake from her mother, especially how to make a piecrust. Like other bakers, she developed her skills through practice. As a food consultant she tested and developed hundreds of baking recipes and worked in the test kitchens of several national food companies. She was also the recipe editor for best-selling cookbooks including Pillsbury Classics Cookbooks and Land O'Lakes Irresistible Desserts.
The Second Shift 200,000 points
http://cdn.sheknows.com/pointsandpri...ads/second.jpg THE SECOND SHIFT: Working Families and the Revolution at Home by Arlie Hochschild with Anne Machung remains as important and relevant today as it did when it was first published in 1989. As the majority of women entered the workforce, sociologist and Berkeley professor Arlie Hochschild was one of the first to talk about what really happens in dual-career households. Many people were amazed to find that women still did the majority of childcare and housework even though they also worked outside the home. Now, in this updated edition of THE SECOND SHIFT with a new afterword from the author, we discover how much things have, or have not, changed for women today.
CInnamon Roll Murder 200,000 points
http://cdn.sheknows.com/pointsandpri...s/cinnamon.jpg With the Cinnamon Roll Six jazz band heading toward Lake Eden for the Weekend Jazz Festival, Hannah Swensen is more than happy to bake up a generous supply of their namesake confections. But tragedy strikes when the band’s tour bus overturns on its way into town. Among those injured is Buddy Neiman, the band’s beloved keyboard player. At first, Buddy’s injuries appear minor, until his condition suddenly takes a turn for the worse—as in dead. Hannah’s no doctor, but she suspects that the surgical scissors jutting out of Buddy’s chest may have something to do with it. Turns out Buddy Neiman isn’t the victim’s real name. In fact, no one is really sure who he is, or what secrets may be lurking in his past. Hannah isn’t sure just how she’ll unravel this mystery, but there’s nothing sweeter than bringing a killer to justice…
