Once you have an account (2 per household max), you can enter 10 words every half hour. Each word is worth a different amount of points (10 to 450 usually). You save up the points & then use them to trade in for the prizes that are listed. There are all sorts of things available, from books to CDs to DVDs to clothes to cosmetics. It all depends on what promo they have going on. One caution tho - once a prize is gone, it likely won't be replaced (most are only 1 or 2 available).

Over the last couple of years, I've received a dog (now cat)sweater, a couple of books, a couple of DVDs & a toothbrush holder (a cow for my friend who collects cows ).

Hi everyone, thank you for all the words! Before I use to rush/contribute to the thread yet now I seem to wait to see if cesme77 will post because I adore the fun graphics. Sorry I'm so easily amused, guess 'getalife' applies to me. Thank you to the computer literate who include the fun graphics!

I wanted to post the below information I received in an email because I know some peeps do not get the newsletters/emails even if they request them. I didn't see it either on the home page when claiming words.


SheKnows wants to ring in the New Year by giving you points!
The January New Year Hunt will start on Saturday, January 1, 2011!
Based on all the positive feedback we received, we have decided to continue using the weekly format for this month's hunt! Instead of hunting for ALL of the keywords at once, we will be releasing new words with new point values every Saturday. You can still earn the same amount of points, but in order to level the playing field across the board you will have to visit weekly to find this month's hunt words.

Ya know what was interesting.....when looking for keywords, a New Year Hunt Challenge 25 point word came up under Pregnancy & Baby partner site (FAINTER). Seems strange considering that the hunt starts with 10 point words and not until 1/1/11. I tried to claim it to see if it would work yet I got the message, "That word is not available for claiming at this time." Bleach, who's idea to start on a Saturday let alone after New Year's Eve anyhoo?
