Do you actually log into P&P, find the prize, and buy it from there? Or do you just click the "Get it for ### points!" link from the postings here?
I noticed the Tasty Treats prize was gone from P&P very quickly. I think they normally do pull the prize descriptions automatically as they sell out, but they don't (or can't) remove the item ID from their database. So when you click the purchase link on the postings here -- postings that may have since been taken down from P&P itself -- it still adds the prize to your cart.
In the future I'll make sure to remove the "Get it..." link from any new prizes that I copy and paste here, and I suggest everyone else who posts prizes do the same.

Good morning, everyone.
Sorry I haven't been around. Life's been busy, although I'm not quite sure what I do do all day (besides hang out with the critters).
On the subject of voting, there was a spirited discussion in the Tea Room regarding this election. Some rather hot button issues were discussed & everyone remained civil & friendly. That's what I love about this online community - no one forces their ideas onto others.
In terms of choosing None of the Above, there are 2 options. You can spoil your ballot OR you can refuse it. When you go to vote, simply say "I respectfully refuse the ballot" & they record your name (so they know you are a conscientious voter) & also record that you were not happy with the choices given. In terms of spoiling your ballot, you can write None of the Above on it. Both are counted, especially if it's made clear that one is not a happy camper.
My friend the politician (who has a Masters Degree in this stuff & worked for years in politics, running campaigns & advising politicians) says that both are very effective ways of getting your message out & that politicians will listen. If enough people choose None of the Above, it sends a very clear message to the politician in the riding that s/he'd better shape up or else the tide could easily turn against him/her. If you simply don't go out, it comes across as apathy & the politicians won't care.
In terms of the election outcome, I'm just happy we don't have to listen to those annoying ads for another 4 yrs.
To get back on topic here, thank you so much to the wonderful folks who post the words here! I really really appreciate your taking the time & making the effort to do so.
I've updated the spreadsheet & as always, if I've missed anything, please let me know.

The prizes will be there when you log in, you will see just next to claim a word, prizes and then select latest additions or something like that and then go through them all.

Well said wendymac. Of course, you are right.
We have the pleasure of living in a FREE country. It is our free will choice. Politics like religion can bring out the best and the worst of us. If only tolerance was better taught and practiced on all levels of our society not only would we be a free country but a much nicer place to live for so many.
As for this forum not being the place for all this - you're probably right about that too. But we often stray from the business of "words" to so many other topics affecting our community here and I think that's what makes this forum so special.
Thank you Andit. You said it so much better than I did.
That was the point I was trying to make yesterday.Last edited by kimmie bt; Fri, May 6th, 2011 at 01:58 PM.
