I thought I would share a little bit about myself as I've seen others do it and the support from everyone has been amazing!
On Dec. 14/11 I had to put my beloved 11 year old Border Collie Rizzo to sleep, he had been diagnosed with a brain tumor 10 weeks prior to his death. Rizzo with my other dog, a Jack Russell named Blaze, were best friends, they had never been apart and even though I had Blaze with me when I held Rizzo as he was put to rest, to see my boy sad is pretty heartbreaking.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a donation towards Rizzo's final veterinary bill. I have just a few short dollars left to make my original goal of $600.00. I hate to ask, and put myself "out there" in vulnerability, but given I am on permanent disability, the amount I receive monthly just doesn't make it possible for me to pay this account in full on my own.
I created a page on Facebook for anyone who may be interested in joining. You can find it here https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rizzo...55170354499566. It is a place to share your stories about your pet, whether it be a loss or a happy memory. I've also combined it with a few rescue and shelter sites, to help give back to them as well. Rizzo was much more than just a dog to me. When I rescued him 7 years ago, he wouldn't have lasted much more with the pneumonia, an infected wound on his jowl, under nourished and on his last coat layer. We bonded instantly and I will always cherish his little goofy walk he had, or his "talking" he would do whenever he had his squeaky toys and wanting me to play with him.

DramaLamaBBQ I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved Rizzo. I know he was well loved and will be very much missed by you and your other fur babies. Alas, I found myself in much the same position as you are in now. Although I work full time the money doesn't last till the end of the month. I know all about struggling. Just know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you as my own loss is still vivid in my life and heart and soul.

Meet Top Cat!
This is the little one I adopted tonight. So far so good they are doing great and tomorrow we will introduce them into the house population. He is about a year now and hes the one that isnt adjusting well. He bites and hisses but it could be the different environment and being taken out of the shelter.
Meet Unky K!
The cat my Mom adopted tonight. Which Unky K actually raised a litter of kittens (TopCat was one of them). He is about the same age as Patches & Stripes.
