Dh makes great lemonade with that lemon juice people buy for cooking with. He makes a "simple syrup" on the stove then adds the lemon juice and water.

Interesting, one of my older sisters does too - but I don't know how she makes it. When I've tried, it tastes like crap - but that was just using the bottled juice, sugar, and water. Making the simple syrup must make the difference.

I love lemonade! I ordered Goodhost Lemonade mix, but haven't tried it yet. My fave is Countrytime, but that's been impossible to find.

Yes it is definitely the simple syrup. There are times he rushes it (making it last minute before work) and doesn't give the syrup the time to heat up slowly and then chill in the fridge before making the lemonade. While it is still much better than just adding the sugar and water it doesn't compare to a well made simple syrup. I think he googled the recipe.
