RAIN MOVES TOYOTA OWNERS 400 TO SUNDAY

RICHMOND, Va. – The Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race atRichmond International Raceway scheduled for 7 p.m. ET Saturday night has been postponed to 1 p.m. ET on Sunday due to inclement weather. FOX will carry the race.

Saturday night's rain out was not a huge surprise to the NASCAR teams who have learned to practice amateur meteorology themselves and saw the forecast earlier in the week.



NASCAR officials said that Saturday night's decision was made after assessing weather forecasts and consulting with government and law enforcement officials. Unlike last weekend's race at Bristol Motor Speedway, forecasts did not provide any suitable window of opportunity for precipitation to end and to dry the track.

Rain began around noon Saturday and picked up intensity shortly before the driver/crew chief meeting at 5 p.m. – two hours before the green flag

Jeff trying to pass Matt on the outside, but couldn't, meantime, Danica gets hit by Casey, turns her sideways, but she saves it as Jr just gets into the back of her. Track stays green,

Denny slips back to 7th as AJ is in 3rd. Jeff up to 9th, Happy passes AJ for 3rd.

Matt & Jeff pass Denny for 7th &n 8th.

Kasey started 40th, he's up to 28th.

There will be a competition yellow on lap 50, since the rain out of last night.

JJ has some damage on the nose of his car, that will require some repair work on the competition yellow. He will loose some spots.

Carl also sliding back, as he complains of not being able to turn his car.

Kurt is inching closer as well as Happy & Martin are closing in on Joey in the lap traffic.
