here we are getting ready for the green fl&g start of the race. kyle was to start on the pole, but he crashed in practice & had to go into a backup car, so he's at the back. jimmie is another who crashed in practice & he's at the back as well. biffle was lucky that it was a spark plug issue & not an engine problem so he stays 7th.
400 miles or 267 laps for the vegas race, 45mph for the pit road speed that the drivers seem to have an issue with. there's always a few that get caught for speeding.
jr takes lap 1
logano in the bright yellow number 20 in 2nd.
kahne, harvick & truex round up the top 5.
jr has already lead more laps today than he did all last year. he has a 2 sec lead.
kurt is the new 5th place car, harvick makes the pass on logano for 2nd.
allemendinger got by kurt for 5th & biffle is trying for to pass kurt for 6th.
