Dale Earnhardt Jr. to race the #3 Nationwide Wrangler Car at Daytona.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. will drive a Wrangler-sponsored No. 3 Chevrolet in the Nationwide Series race in July at Daytona International Speedway.
The tribute car was unveiled as part of Dale Earnhardt Day on Thursday. Dale Jr. was on hand for the announcement along with representatives from JR Motorsports, Richard Childress Racing and Dale Earnhardt Inc.
Dale Earnhardt, who drove the No. 3 in six of his record-tying seven Cup Series title seasons, was sponsored by Wrangler during his 1980 championship season.
I heard about that a while back but thought I'll believe it when I see it... They said they will be showing the car on NASCAR Race Hub tonight. I think that is one of the few Nationwide races I will PVR, just so I can see the fans' reaction.
