Personally I like saving up for the big rewards. I got DD a cozy coupe last year for Christmas (5200 points I believe) and she loves it.
I got DS the alphabet blocks for his birthday last month (2400 points) and they are okay. However I saw similar blocks the other day at WM for $5 so now I wish I had held onto my points and waited until I had enough for one of the bigger prizes for him (maybe a cozy coupe for him next christmas).
Not sure if you have a WM near you but they have similar plastic shopping carts there for $10. It's blue but it's pretty much the same thing as they have on the rewards site.

We saved our pts for 3 years and got a Radio Flyer Big Flyer last fall (they called them a Big Wheel when I was a kid). I don't see them listed anymore though. Our 4 yr old daughter loves it and when our son is older he'll be able to use it as well.

My son loves his magnetic boats too!
Some things I've gotten were:
Radio Flyer bike = ADORABLE! My son loved it... still does... but he's too big for it now! It's tiny.
Bath Toy Boats = great!
Bubble Train = garbage Pampers GTG has already replaced it....
Diego Toilet Seat = great!
I would love to order a Big Wheels...but I'd need a boat-load of points
