Does anyone know if the $10 amazon.ca code you can redeem points for actually has to be used for a P&G product like it says or can I add the code to my account to be used at a later time for a item of a completely different brand?

This is what it says in the description: "Redeem your Pampers Rewards points and receive a $10 Amazon.ca Gift Card, USABLE ONLY ON P&G PRODUCTS. Redeem on Amazon.ca before expiration date of October 07, 2016. *LIMIT one gift code per member."

I don't mean to come off as rude but I am aware of what it specifies. I'm asking my questions because it may be similar to the Kellogg's "Gas" cards which don't actually need to be used to purchase gas.
