How often are they sent out?
I get the Wednesday and Friday papers, but I haven't seen the inserts since summer of last year. I used to get them regularly. It's making me wonder now if the delivery person is hoarding them or something.

Thanks. So it looks like someone's not giving out those inserts. I've missed 5 already for 2010.
Call the newspaper distribution and complain..
my community paper didn't have them till this year...
it depends on the distribution set by smartsource...you can call your paper and ask if they are putting them in the newspapers in your area this year. they might have cancelled distribution. I know in my area, FS, BBY and a bunch of other retailers have stopped distribution...
So I contacted Tri-City News, they don't carry SmartSource anymore. I'm waiting to hear from Now distribution. Hope they still have it.
That sucks.
I missed all of mine as well until last week when I finally got the Redplum...there seems to be some inconsistency for a lot of people!!!!
i get my coupon flyers in 2 papers here, and it seems like the smart source is grabbed by someone b4 it gets to my door, i can usually located a few extra copies, at the community center they normally have newspapers, and a lot of people just take the paper and leave all of the flyers, at my local mall they also have papers, as well as SDM and a corner store that has given me huge stacks of the paper on the monday (it was a friday paper that had the coupon insert in it)
i have also requested with both of the newspaper companies that i get 3 friday papers... so far its only happened a few times, once being a insert week... will have to call them again and request it again (these are free papers)
also if its in one of the papers, they have a stand outside with the current ones, and on monday/ late sunday i go and grab a few extra copies if i remember
I wouldn't complain... I'd inquire, first. I'm getting better at hunting down these things, but unless you are IN THE KNOW and deliver/work with the newspaper/flyers... you can't be real sure when you get them... usually it's a pattern, but who knows!
Well, the distribution office for The Now (Coquitlam) has confirmed that they still have SmartSource and they've been distributing it per the schedule.
It's just not getting delivered with the paper.
I complained because I was getting NOTHING. Now all of a sudden, I get them ALL. And the manager of distribution is following up constantly to see if I'm getting them. When I first comlained, she dug up a ton of old ones and hand delivered them to me.
I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure my carrier was stealing them.
Well, I think I'm going to do the same thing. It's a hit and miss on whether I see the Smart Source or not. Lets see where this takes me.
Last email I got... Got me nowhere. All I know is they're distributing it, it's just not getting to me.
Hi again, we do not do put the flyers in the paper at our facility, and I am sorry I would not know who you would contact regarding this matter. Everything is run by machine now.

hmm, i've only received one of the 5 distributed this year and never got any last year. let's see if i get the one slated for the weekend...if not, maybe i'll call in to inquire.
