Peak of the Market is holding its 10th Annual Family Fun Day
on Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As always, this event is open to everyone and everything is absolutely FREE with "any" donation to CancerCare Manitoba. If you have attended before, you know the importance of this event and the ongoing search for a cure for one of Canada's most devastating diseases.
Family Fun Day will be held on Peak of the Market's lawn at 1200 King Edward Street at Dublin in Winnipeg. The day promises to have something for everyone! Here are the details:
7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

• FREE potato pancake breakfast courtesy of Chef Craig Guenther
• FREE coffee
• Jimmy Mac from CityTV's Breakfast Television will be broadcasting live (tentative)

7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• FREE giant slide
• FREE bouncers in two sizes
• FREE popcorn (yes - corn is a vegetable)
• FREE tours of Peak of the Market's Packing and Distribution Centre.
• Peak of the Market will be selling merchandise such as Winnipeg Goldeyes Hasbro "Mr. Potato Heads" and Peak of the Market Baseball Caps for just $5.00 each including taxes. Net proceeds of all merchandise sold will be donated to CancerCare Manitoba.
• Additional washrooms and wash sinks will be available

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• FREE pony rides
• FREE petting zoo

10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• FREE additional parking at Red River College east parking lot. Peak of the Market will have a FREE air-conditioned shuttle bus running continuously between Peak and the College. In order to "dangle a carrot" to get more people to park at the College and take the shuttle, we will give each person a FREE 284 mL Peak of the Market, Carrot, Cheddar & Dill Gourmet Soup for parking at Red River and taking the shuttle (one for every person in the car).

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• FREE perogy and corn on the cob lunch (Perogies compliments of Naleway Foods Ltd. and Manitoba grown corn courtesy of Peak of the Market.)
• fire engine on display and Sparky, the Fire Dog
• ambulance on display

1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

• Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Fire Safety House

As you can see, there is a ton of things happening at Peak of the Market on Thursday, August 16th. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch or stay the whole day, there is something for everyone. Again, everything is absolutely FREE with any donation to CancerCare Manitoba.
