I got them too! They sent me a black one and a red one. When I lost the black one I went out and had to buy some. Those stay puts are awesome! With all the hair I have and how bloody heavy it is the other ones would fall out so I was constantly fixing my messy bun once it was hanging down.

Hi everyone:
I wrote to Shoppers Drug Mart last week to ask if they were still giving these sample packs away and the reply I got indicated that they are all out of these packs now. How disappointing! I have been an Optimum card holder for a long time and I've never received anything. Let's hope that maybe they will bring this back soon!

If I have my loyalty program info correct (and someone mentioned this in an earlier post) they do mine their data for "profiles" to send items too.
I often get items that my friends don't. I've gotten about 3 mailings in the last month, including the razor, the hairbands and the "big" package that had shampoo, bobby pins, gum, etc. I also get the monthly Glow magazine that most of my friends have to buy with their Points.
My guess why I get so much - I spend A LOT on cosmetics and beauty items at Shoppers. So my profile probably has been coming up on a lot of these lists only because I buy a lot of the stuff that they're sending out or at least buy similar items.
I'm not assuming that you guys aren't heavy SDM shoppers too, but this is just my guess as to why some people get the mailers and others don't.Last edited by CinnamonKitten; Tue, Jul 17th, 2007 at 02:17 PM.

In my case you are probably right CinnamonKitten.
But as I don't wear much makeup and SDM's prices are generally a little higher than other places I have found, I probably shouldn't complain too much. But darn it all I do Get all of my families (expensive and repeated) scrips there.
Oh sorry about the little rant...ooops...there I feel better now(hahahaha)

I've been buying less beauty stuff at SDM too! There's a PharmPlus just next to my work and I've been discovering that their prices are much lower than SDM, and so is Wal-Mart.
The only thing is that the newest SDM that opened close to where I live has a HUGE cosmetics section that carries not only the usual suspects, but also the more "prestige" brands that are normally only in department stores (ie. Clinique, Benefit, Burberry, etc) and SDM is the only retailer in Canada that carries Boots cosmetics, so they may be luring me back!
Haha, I justify my beauty spending as "research" for my blog! But it really should stop...
