borrowed from a facebook friend, i did ask him
'Gizmodo http://gizmodo.com/ reports, "things you could do in relative anonymity today, will be explicitly associated with your name, your face, your phone number come March 1st." If you don't act today, all your past searches and activity will be retroactively applied. See below on how to change this in less than a minute: :
ELECTRONIC FRONTIER FOUNDATION ARTICLE: How to Remove Your Google Search History Before Google's New Privacy Policy Takes Effect http:///wjjnZb [Instructions With Graphics]
How To Disable Search History
1. Sign into your Google account.
2. Go to https://www.google.com/history (clicking will open in new tab)
3. Click "remove all Web History."
4. Click "ok."
Removing your Web History also pauses it. Web History will remain off until you enable it again.
NOTE: Disabling Web History in your Google account will not prevent Google from gathering and storing this information and using it for internal purposes. It also does not change the fact that any information gathered and stored by Google could be sought by law enforcement.
With Web History enabled, Google will keep these records indefinitely; with it disabled, they will be partially anonymized after 18 months, and certain kinds of uses, including sending you customized search results, will be prevented. If you want to do more to reduce the records Google keeps, Read advice from Electronic Frontier Foundation’s [EFF] Six Tips to Protect Your Search Privacy http:///yUa5ZE Originally posted on September 14, 2006, but, information is still relevant.'This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Thanks for the post! I really hate how all these online technologies and corporations - google, facebook, etc. etc. just seem to think that our privacy doesn't matter. Heck, if I want my web searching monitored, I'll sign up for something like swagbucks where at least they're up-front about how they use the search data they glean from you. :/
I also have fun sometimes googling a bunch of random crap and watching how the banners and ads change... LOL, google baby stuff for five minutes, and for some reason google will start to think you're pregnant.... switch to googling RRSP and retirement options, and now magically, you're 55+....

Thanks OP.
We removed our web history this morning.
Do we need to do this every month?

I guess you choose how often you want to do it, because it will keep collecting - just like all sites.
If you did email, make sure you do other affiliated accounts as well - like YouTube or Google+.

I'm not doing it, just have no need to.

Will probably do it monthly.
My business in not their business, IMHO.
Thanks Natalka.
