I went to the clinic yesterday because i'm late, TIRED (always my first symptom), and nauseous off and on... and of course, got a positive result.

With my last 2 kids, I saved the positive tests, so I want to go get another one. I HATE paying $10 for tests, so i'm wondering if anyone knows which stores sell the cheap generic ones. Safeway here USED to, they were 2 for $6, but I haven't really checked around anywhere else. I checked superstore yesterday and their cheapest (exact brand) is $10... no thanks!

the stores I have in town are:

    rcss
    rexall
    walmart
    SDM
    quality foods
    zellers

    thanks

awww. What a great idea to save the positive pregnancy tests! That is really cool! Wish I'd thought to do that!

    Congratulations!

And I second (or should I say, third) the dollar store idea if you have one near you.

I don't think a dollar store would carry this item, but I may suggest going to a hospital and speaking to a nurse there. They may have a test kit somewhere. Also you can try the local Public Health Unit. If you explain your circumnstances, I am sure they could find one for you.

Oh and congrats to you too.

unfortunately the closest dollarama is an hour away, so no way

and I've never seen $6 ones at walmart!

we have dollar stores, like EFADS and a buck or 2, wouldn't have thought they'd have any. i haven't seen any at least.

    i'll try walmart again thanks

Personally, I'd never trust a Dollar Store product for something this important, especially since it's not something most people need to buy regularly.

After all, in past years they've had chemical-laden and counterfeit toothpaste (who makes fakes TOOTHPASTE?), excessive lead and such in kids toys, etc. If I got a result on one of these tests, I'd be running to a store to get a 'real' one to verify! But that's just me.
