Contract Testing Inc. specializes in sensory evaluations where you the consumer are asked to give opinions about the taste, texture, smell, appearance, etc. of various products.


Manufacturers often request that a consumer or sensory test be conducted when they wish to gather information about a new product that they are planning, make changes to an existing product or perhaps substantiate an advertising claim. Some of the products we might test include cookies, soup, frozen and microwavable dinners, soft drinks, soap, detergent, shampoo, mouthwash, and other personal care, food, or household items.
WE NEED YOU, the consumer, to help us complete tests and we are willing to pay for your assistance. Everyone is welcome to sign-up (some restrictions apply). You will never be asked to purchase anything. We simply pay you for your participation as an important part of consumer testing.

I was wondering why they included Brampton and Mississauga (Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver I can understand). It seems that the Toronto office is actually on the Brampton/Mississauga border. They have studies/focus groups that require going to their office. It sounds like it is worth it if transportation is not an issue for you. (Unfortunately it is for me--I don't have a car and I would have to take the bus or train to get there. Probably won't work for me.)

I'd be curious to hear from anyone who signs up with them.

I have been doing testing with them for almost a year now. Taste test starts at $15 for about 20-40 Mins. Take home test starts $25 plus product. Panel/group starts at $30/hr. Their office is in Brampton, my friend live in mississauga and she drive in to do test.
