The EPA, NOAA, and BP officials have insisted over and over again that air and water samples collected during the course of the Gulf oil spill are well below dangerous toxin levels.
As this video demonstrates, the same ocean water that officials insist is safe for swimming explodes when tested. Dangers for those working in the Gulf or eating seafood harvested from this area are obvious.

It doesnt really surprise me though, that one that exploded was from the marina, I lived near a marina my whole life and it always smells like gas and oil from the boats etc. Add that to the oil spill and ya it would be a lot.
As for the beaches and stuff ya there was just a massive oil spill its not surprising. Sad for sure. Even though officials are saying its safe how much do u wanna bet they wont even go swimming or let anyone they know go swimming in the effected areas?
