They all do.
Morning all!
Now I was wondering, I know where to find the red plum insert in downtown Vancouver however, I'm never able to find the SmartSource one... Which paper is it hidding in?!
Ineresting, I never seem to get mine.
I usually find my Smartsource insert in the complimentary Vancouver Sun that some McDonald's give out. And I think they come in subscription papers, too, because I usually find a few later on in my building's recycling bins.
With all these inserts, sometimes they are in delivered papers (subscription) and not in stores, sometimes the other way around. It's a never ending puzzle, especially with the Redplum.
:icon_scratch: Speaking of puzzles... I found this little sign on the floor at a Buy Low store yesterday. I wonder if (like last year) we might see a coupon for this in one of the inserts coming up. Like this weekend's Smartsource?

I too want to get my hands on a Red Plum insert. I've finally tracked down SmartSouce - it was in a free paper that is delivered to my rural home. I don't believe that I've ever seen a Red Plum insert. Anyone out there know if I can get my hands on one in Peterborough, Ontario area? I find that the inserts vary according to where you live. In fact, I don't even get the same flyers as people who live 20 kms away from me do! lol Any advice?
I live just outside of Peterborough, and I get the Red Plum inserts in the free Peterborough Examiner that everyone gets on Thursdays. Actually, last time I got one (a couple of weeks ago) it came on the same day as the SmartSource insert. Do you get the Examiner where you are?
I can purchase the Thursday Examiner - I don't get a free one :( But it never has any! What's up with that? lol Guess I'm not priviledged way out in rural-town? ;o) Can you let me know if you get inserts/flyers/ads tomorrow? That way I can see what you get compared to what I get here...
I'm not sure about your local papers, but with my own, if I don't get a flyer or insert and I let the circulation department know, they will deliver one to me, same day - I've only used that service once out of frustration, but I was glad I could. Maybe you could try that?
Lori
actually, just as a point of interest, my daughter use to work as an inserter for the local paper- she told me the other day that usually when they insert flyers etc, its the most hectic day, they work long, long hours on their feet and they make a lot of mistakes- that being said - they are rushing at full speed, they grab a bundle of each, slap it on the table, slit the straps and get to work - but they are all moving so fast that if a bundle breaks they don't take time to pick it up, they leave it where it fell and move on to the next one- as a consequence, by the end of the shift there are hundreds if not thousands laying on the floor, some dirty, trampled. but still LOTs of good ones. Come monday the paper sends them off to the recycler, even left over bundles, BUT my daughter said that dozens of people come in the following day and ask for arm loads of the leftover/ trampled stuff to use as fire starter.
I had seen this a couple of times myself when I went to pick her up, but that was before I realized the value of them. Still, it might be worth asking your local circulation department about what they do with the "garbage".
I'm still confused, because the BRANDSAVER is not on the schedule, when is it delivered again? i know I found it last time in Langley Advance (BC).. but I'm tired of digging though the 7/11 newspaper stand on the weekends, noone seems to know :) And todays SmartSource was kinda.. well ...plain :)
