Here is a link to a blog I read, this is a recipe for blender pancakes or waffles. She provides instructions for gluten free as well.I am defiantly going to try this, I have made lots of this girls recipes and have not been disapointed.

Im new to gf eating (about 2 months). After reading this thread, there are so many things Im eating that I THOUGHT were gf. Sigh. Is there a list somewhere of "other names" for gluten, as i understand it's disguisted under many names. That would be very helpful. For the record, I am also doing dairy free, egg free, soy free and limited sugar.

Try this site for a list of "unsafe" GF foods http://www.celiac.com/articles/182/1...nts/Page1.html
Also, Daiya has a great, meltable (ok that's not a word) soy cheese.
Good luck with the new diet. We are GF, LF, & Low FodMap and it's hard to get started but the results of feeling better are worth it.

Hi. Thanks for the response. Yes I saw this list earlier in the thread nd saved it to my phone. And yes I've been eating Daiya cheese (I was told its the only decent substitute that is non soy). I've made a great gf pizza and gf mac n cheese with rice breadcrumbs and coconut milk.

When Sally888 was still here, she sent me a box of those cookies, since I never purchase much gluten free, I always make my own. They were really good.....hmmm wonder why I haven't purchased any more? I guess after all these years I so used to making my own things. I just feel safer that way.

I've lost count the number of years that I've had Celiac Disease, way over 15. Being Celiac makes it extremely difficult, you have to be so careful even about cross contamination. I use different pan and pots for myself, than the rest of the family for anything I'm cooking that has gluten in it. It can suck sometimes....I used to through myself the odd pity party years ago, now I'm so used to cooking that way,, that most of my meals for everyone are gluten free. With the exception of the bread and buns that they refuse to give up!

Does anyone have a tried and true basic muffin recipe? I'm looking to make some blueberry and / or banana muffins to put in the freezer for DH. He loves the Udi's but at $7 for 4 muffins he can forget having those. Our grocery budget has been out of control while I try to get some good recipes together.

Has anyone ever used a bread machine for making bread? and the type of machine? I love the bread from Organic Works Bakery in London, ON, but they can't ship to NL anymore it seems due to the cost of shipping
