Yesterday my dh and I travelled to Michigan to take advantage of the "no membership needed" day at Sam's Club. We have been interested to see if it is worth our while to join up.
I walked all the way through and found basically nothing that I couldn't get cheaper by using SC to give me great ideas about matching coups with sales here.
My dh found a few things he wanted but then......
we went to the electronics dept.
My dh loves to listen to music and has an antiquated pair of earphones that he connects when I want to watch some "girly" show on TV or late at night when he wants to play his music louder than I want to listen to it.
He has been talking about BOSE earphones and wishing, wishing, they would go on sale - long story short - he got a pair he was absolutely thrilled with that block out sound for just under $100. Unplanned but much wanted purchase.
Now another thing that I noticed while I shopped will help to stop scaring our puppies half to death whenever we are cooking supper. Usually the smoke alarm will go off sending one doggie howling and the other one running for cover. In fact, whenever we start rattling cooking things, one looks at us with suspicious eyes ready to "head for the hills". One day when the alarm went off and someone was coming in the door - he ran right out - across the quite busy street and down a block where we usually take him for a walk before he stopped - and he's BLIND!
So I saw a convection oven toaster oven - we've been looking to replace the offending toaster oven that causes the smoke alarm to go off but I haven't seen anything for less than about $120. Well, we got this one for half that price.
So all in all, along with a few purchases at JC Penney - a good day. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Yes, apparently they weren't doing well and they took them out of Canada.
