lttlsan gave me a piece of advice this past weekend and I put it into action today. I was not aware that when you purchased a SDM GC you would earn Optimum points and in turn use that GC to purchase the AmEx GC to receive bonus Optimum points.

So for a hundred dollars I get the following...

$100 cash turns into $100 SDM card = 1000 Optimum pts
THEN
$100 SDM card turns into $100 AmEx = 1000 Optimum pts
THEN
$100 Amex gets used to purchase stuff at SDM = MORE Optimum pts

So really that is like 2000 Bonus pts just for taking a few minutes of my time.
