That's wonderful news that you found your second bedroom set for a great price. Solid wood is always a great find. The best part is you can refinish if needed. We have done that with a few items we have purchased. I would love to see pics of it.

In terms of the insert If it were me I would likely ask the following questions.

1- Is there a warranty? since it is new?
2- where was it purchased and when or how old is it. Just because they say it is brand new it could have been sitting in his/her basement for years.
3- What is the make and model?- then research the product for reviews and cost so you have a base for your offer
4- Ask the seller what they want for a price and if they are open to offers before you make an offer.
5- Keep in mind when you buy anything that you need to plug in if it fails after purchase you may be out of pocket the money with no warranty so keep in mind this when offering a price and mention it if need be.
6- Always ask to see the product run. If they can't again factor that into your risk and offer.

I once had a seller who had a set of 1 yr old winter tires who listed them as 1 year old etc and the price. When I replied and mentioned I would bring a mechanic with me to look at them he then says, lol..
"well I had them for a year on my vehicle but the guy i bought them from I'm not sure".

So- they are not in fact one year old, to him they are hahah.. that guy made me chuckle.

So, always try to ask the right questions and don't be shy, it's your money!

I love love the new livingroom carpet & super wow only 60.00! I found my 2nd bedroom set Queen size, older style but hard wood, needs a coat of stain but I only paid 120.00 (2 night stands, tall dresser, long dresser, headboard & frame) very happy with my recent find. I may have found that electric fireplace insert that I've been searching for seller is asking 100.00 it's brand new she received it as a gift but she wanted a gas insert. What do you think a reasonable offer for a brand new insert would be

I love the rug! I also had a hard time finding the right rug for our living room. Ended up getting one on HammerDrop at Home Depot. It was a good deal, but a whole lot more than $60. Well done!

So far the book has been great. If you have a PC bank acct you may be able to get a free copy like I was able to. Otherwise the library is the next best bet but if its anything like where I live I was #48 in line waiting for 1 of 14 copies lol...

Just an update, it's now March 4th and not much has happened the past month. I am hoping once the nice weather approaches and garage sales spring up I will find some great deals.
