Congrats on the engagement. We had a small wedding at my parents house 12 people, bought my dress at Sears and went out for chinese buffet in a private room for our wedding. My husband is from the UK and his family could not attend due to working committments and kids so we set up webcams all around the ceremony and mics so they could hear and see. Our cake was from Costco and we had desserts and food at the house as well. All in all less than 1000 dollars. It was the best wedding and I remember everything which to me is important. You don't need to go crazy when you get married spending money on lavish items unless that's what you want but in the end its about both of you and the best part is no big bill! Enjoy this time!
