I was just in Sobey's today and they had the family sized Mini Wheats and Rice Krispies, that had a mail in offer for a pre-paid gas card. There is also a chance that you can win a $500 gas card.

And, the cereal was on sale this week at Sobey's for 4.99 - so if you send in the order form, it is pretty much like getting it for free

I saw these but I wondered what the chances were of getting the $5 card or are most of the boxes to enter the draw for $500 of fuel that you probably wont win.

Has anyone got any experience of buying these and what did you get?

Darn it! Just read this now and was just over by Sobey's today! I have to purge some leftover cereal and really really should start eating breakfast at least once a week! Might grab a box of MW since they can't be beat right?

Thanks for the promo heads up, that pays my gas to Sobey's and back and there is a PC right on the corner by my house!

ETA: I thought it said "Petro Canada Gift Card" but it doesn't specify any station in particular, just one that accepts credit cards/gift cards. I might be able to use it at CT than and still get my CT$ on the card too, EVEN BETTER DEAL!

Went to Atlantic Super Store looking for the cereal today. The flyer this week even showed these cereals on sale at 4.94 this week as a Special Offer and showed the boxes with the $5 gas promo on the top. When I got to the store, none of the family size boxes were the promo boxes. Disappointed :-(
