    thanks! btw, just in case some of you are not aware, shoppers gift cards are eligible to earn points. if you need to buy high priced items, get the gift card, pay for it then present your shoppers card. points will be credited to your account. afterwards, you can give the cashier the items that you really want to buy then pay for it using the gift card. this way, you can earn points for non-eligible items and 2x for eligible items.
    ps. they allow you to do this at one go. no need to re-queue.

    I thought about this before, but do we have to pay tax for the gift card? And when we use the gift card, the value is just the amount indicated on the gift card, which means we lose the tax for the gift card??
