Surplus Store Liquidating

I love nosing around a local surplus store, but alas! It's closing.

Went to get some patio chairs to replace a couple that broke. Got 3 for $5.00 each. - nice sturdy, caramel colour that will match our outdoor "decor!"

Also got 2 hand towels - $1.00 each
Shower curtain liner - $1.00

AND out of the blue saw what might be a sofa table - cream colour with carved design and two brownish glass inserts that I thought would make a great replacement for a "this will do til we find something better" window table in the living room.

It was priced at $79 but had 25% off - chatted for a while - then got it for $60. The funny part was - we were just coming home from picking my husband up from a part-time job he has - working in a furniture store!!!! Shhhhhh! don't tell!

So $79 - $19.75 = $59.25

Yes, you're right - it was just under $60.00 (And you're also right - I should watch those pennies!) Knowing you - that .75 would go a LONG WAY - you're the shopper extraordinare!

I was reading into the "we chatted for a while... then got it for $60!" I thought youwere workin' out a better deal than the 25% off... so I did the math and was like HUH!! :)

come on now. you know this thread just isn't complete without pics.. lol ;)

no I meant my husband and I chatted for a while - lol! He's the one who has to move the furniture around! I'm pathetic with pictures but if I get a moment - I'll give it a try.
