New Shoppers Drug Mart Opening of

The Shoppers Drug Mart on Montreal Rd. in Ottawa is moving down the street to a new store.The new store is huge! Opening weekend is the 25th of September. They will be having sales , food, discounts , prizes etc. If your in the area or live in the area stop by. I will be for sure.

The one by Farmboy is closing and they are opening the new one where the old hotel and Dynasty restaurant were.

I was there last week and I didn't see anything except them emptying some shelves and putting the products in bins and carting them to the back of the store. They may have some close out sales this coming week though. Hopefully I will get a chance to take a look.

I happen to be in the Shoppers today and nothing on sale. What they did have on sale is all gone. No bins or marked down goodies either. Most of the shelves are bare. I heard today they are closing that Shoppers on the 22nd and on the 23rd opening the new store. The grand opening from what I was told is still Saturday the 25th.
Maybe since they are making a big to do over the opening they opted not to do anything in the old store. All I know is I will be there for it

I saw milk for $2.99 with Optimum card, and a max. of 2… there may have been something else, but if so, it didn't stand out for me...

Ok well I went today and the new store is beautiful. A pretty big food section , make up and a whole lot more products then the old store. The prices...pretty much the same. I didn't see any great sales. They were doing make overs at the make up counter and calling out prizes. I think you had to buy $50.00's in make up to enter to win.
HOT 89.9 was there but the girls were just sitting around talking.
I was told there was going to be a BBQ but maybe since I was there a bit early they had not started it yet. However I didn't see a BBQ or any indication that they are doing one.
At check out they gave everyone a reusable SDM bag.
BTW..If you didn't already know..they are now charging 5 cents per plastic bag there.
