My brother in law gave us some KD he didnt want which im pretty sure he got on his roadtrip to the states.
anyway, I really enjoyed the SHARP CHEDDAR one, but Spirals are pretty gross, I know what your thinking, its only a shape..well yes and no
with the spirals they take less time to cook so they go soggy quick, even doused in ketchup they are too soggy.
I suppose I should cook it for less time to get a better result.
But yea I think i'll stick with the original elbow shapeThis thread is currently associated with: N/A

Spirals = mush. My kids won't eat it and that's saying something.

Thanks for the tip, now I know to stick to my elbows .
Just a tip to KD fans you can buy the actual KD cheese powder mix at bulk barn (in the soup section I believe) and buy pasta seperatley if you're looking for a change. I've always seen it at bulk barn and thought what it'd be like with shells or little pastas like orzo. Haven't tried it but I just might after this reminder!

KD used to have a tomato sauce variety years back. I can't remember if it was elbow macaroni or spaghetti, I just remember liking it. Things I like always seem to be discontinued, I must have weird tastes, lol.

Spirals are good if you cook the noodles for much less time then the box states. Also to thicken up the sauce a little, I melt a few cheese slices in it as I am mixing. It's really good.
KD used to have a creamy tomato spaghetti that was really good. The only downside was that the sauce mix had dried onions in it and they never quite cooked enough to go soft again, so I usually sifted them out before mixing.

I must be a real weirdo because I have never liked KD.
I only buy it when the kids beg and plead and give me "sad puppy eyes" in the store.
Even then, I seldom eat it unless I "have" to--you know, to set the example so the kids don't act like picky little farts later in life. LOL. When that's the case, I try to make sure it's the white cheddar kind. I can at least stomach that stuff.
We bought the spirals once. Never again. They were so gloopy and gross. For me, pasta MUST have that firmness; if it's too soft, I feel like I wanna barf when I'm eating it. LOL"Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

I love the spirals, but again I cook them for about 3 minutes less than what the packages says.
