Grrrr.... Coupon at RCSS (long rant)
I had such a busy day today, and my 3rd stop of the day was RCSS. I went in with my list, my coupons and my cart. First stop, pink sticker make-up. I got a few things for me, a few things for my sister, and then found the cosmetics rep so she could open the case for the ProGlide razors (on for $5.99 and I had 2 x $4 coupons). She grabs 2 and says I have to pay for them at her cash in cosmetics. Sure, no problem I said. So she rang them up and I handed her my coupons. She read it over and over and over and over... and then she said "You can use it on these razors" and I asked why. She told me that these were ProGlide razors and the coupon says "any Fusion or Fusion manual razor". I was sort of shocked since I never have problems so I said "Ok, and that is a Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor". We went back and forth for a few mins, she kept telling me it was a ProGlide, not a Fusion. It says "GILLETTE FUSION PROGLIDE" right on the front :rant: Then she changed her excuse and said that it wasn't the one in the picture. I asked her to call her supervisor and so she did. Her supervisor himed and hawed over the coupon and said "Nope, it's not good on this razor". Again, I told her I wasn't sure what part of the coupon was the problem... she said it wasn't the one in the picture. So I told her I wanted another opinion. We marched off to Customer Service, she was telling me the whole time that her supervisor said no so the answer is no... blah blah... very rude attitude.
We get to the CS desk and the cosmetics lady showed the CS lady the razor and then read the coupon to her like this... "Good on any Fusion MVP manual or power razor... and this one is a ProGlide." I was getting very annoyed by then. I said "That's is NOT what the coupon says!!!" The CS lady took the coupon, read it outloud and told me "No it's not good on this razor." I asked her to call the highest onduty manager because this was getting ridiculous. Meanwhile, the cosmetics lady left and it was just me and the CS standing there. The CS called the manager on the phone and he came to the CS desk. He looked at the razor, read the coupon and he asked who rejected it and wasted his time by coming to the front because it was obviously a Fusion razor!! DUH :tongue: He was NOT impressed with the THREE people that rejected the coupon. He asked the CS why she said no, and she said it's not the razor in the picture. He asked her if she even read the coupon because it says ANY on it :hahaha: Of course I was secretly (and silently) watching this unfold and smiling inside. He told the CS lady that if every coupon had to picture every valid product that coupons would be 8x10's :lolsign:
In the end, I did get my 2 Fusions for $1.99 each. Such a nice manager. I really badly wanted to go back to the beauty counter and tell that lady that I was right... but I did not. I could hear my mother saying "You have more class than that." :lol:
