it is very festive, but too hard on my eyes and am having a hell of a time trying to navigate. took me forever to find a way into the cashback portion only to find I can't access anything. So will be back tomorrow, have fun today and a fun filled night!

oh, i am totally PISSED OFF. we went to the foodbank retail section, and ryan bought a computer game out of his allowance..$5. all 5 install disc were there and the dc key but not the disk you play it with. Since they were selling several of these, i called the manager and informed her. She said they had lots of them and never had a problem before (typical bad customer service eh?) so i asked her if my son could exchange it for something else.

get this. obviously i was not expecting my money back, they are a charity. but she informed me that it's buy at your own risk, they're a charity, they can't issue refunds (which i told her i only wanted an exchange), she said it was QUESTIONALBE and we would have to come see her.

i was like WTF? he's 11 and just spent his whole allowance on a pc of garbage.

and i called my husband. and he was like, what you mean they mighten do an exchange..THEY GET THE STUFF FOR FREE.

omg. i'm FURIOUS. i wonder if i can escalate over her head. anyway sending hubby and son in there. hubby can usually sweettalk the ears off a gargoyle..so he shouldn't have a problem. but i'm going to have ryan tell her first. he's very articulate and loves to confront adults. GO RYAN, DO YOUR THING.

If all else fails, threaten to go to the media. They're always looking for a story about evil charities being nasty to folks. Especially, a child from a family on a fixed income (we're all on fixed incomes) being treated badly by a charity supposedly helping people. Rev Canada has a site that gives info on charities, promise (threaten) to report them to Rev Can. Nothing usually happens, but most charities will back down and be syrupy sweet.

I've had to do this in the past with United Way - they refused to give me a tax receipt because I specified which charity should get my donation and it wasn't one they were promoting.

and for those of you can't can't find your way around in the dark, ilmk's had the same problem, she said there's a button down on the left that you can push to reset it back to the default.

I switched back to the default (bottom left) because it was confusing me this early. LOL

see where it says HALO2008, use the drop down menu and select default.

dh doesn't want to make waves. but i'm sure ds will. he's been dying to play this game. (unreal tournament 2004). hubby says the one that runs the retail side, is right nasty. niice.
