I'm here and watching CNN. I am not even American and crying right now. Great piece of history and when someone says one day where were you when the first black man became President, I can say sitting on my couch on my laptop on SC and Facebook eating chips and watching CNN...lol...my hubby just flew into NJ and says people are nuts there right now so happy

Nice to see some night owls (at least if you're in my time zone).
Congrats to Democrats, nice try to Republicans, I don't know enough about US politics to know what to say to those who vote other (Libertarians?).
Personally I'm not a big fan of politics, mostly because I've had to deal with some not so helpful politicians.
Quite frankly, my cat can make better decisions than my local representative. ;-) Course he can make better decisions than I can too, so that says a little about me.
They've started putting up the Xmas decorations in the tourist area I live in - anyone else starting to get excited??? Of course when our temp soars to 15C, it's hard to dream of mistle toe & velvet suits.
See you all in the morning. Hope everyone has a good night's sleep.

This is a P&P thread. We have either P&P conversations or fun conversations in here. Please don't post about Obama/McCain, religion, or politics in here and keep it a fun light hearted thread.

Politics and religion are always a good thing to stay away from to keep things civil. My friend and i disagree on pretty much everything and struck each others nerve tonight and had to end that conversation pretty quickly lol.
Sorry i've been away everyone.. i've had a lot on my plate lately and have been trying to just deal with stress away from the computer. I apologize if anyone sent me a pm or email and i didnt get back to you. I let them all pile up on me.
As for halloween my Elvira costume went over really well... although i think i look a little like a man dressed up as a woman.. lol. I'm too embarrassed to post it here but ill email it if you're really curious.
I'm also not much of a drinker and wound up at my friends party hugging the porcelin gods at some point in the evening.. a girlfriend sent me home in a cab. jeez. so embarrassing!

NS - I have one of those machines, but its too new for me to comment on how well the meat is protected long term. I'll say it does save space in freezer, suck out the air and compresses into neat tight package. I'll let you know after a year what I think! I still swear by the freezer wrapping. Oh I did try some cooked meals using the machine, I'll let you know how that works out when i crack one open!
