anyone got any ideas for cream cheese recipes? I have to find some and would appreciate some help. ty. All I know about cream cheese is you can spread it on crackers and use it in cheesecake.

I have a recipe somewhere for a chocolate swirl cheesecake with a brownie crust... it's SO good but i'm lactose intolerant so i pay dearly for it everytime i eat it. I'm going to see if i can find a dairy substitute and try making it again.. i'm skeptical it would taste half as good but its worth a shot!

I'm already dreading all of the food i'll be presented with over xmas. Hopefully i wont gain back any of the weight I've lost. My family is small and my mother goes wild with the baking.. baklava, pastries, cookies.. pate's, hummus, red pepper spreads to go with pita or crackers. Then there's the actual meal which is huge and we always end it with coffee and baileys, kalua or wine. I need some willpower!

I have a pie recipe with cream cheese that is so good, I made two kinds really liked the blackberry tho. I'll find it and pm you with it. I have some cream cheese recipes for appetizers too but haven't tried any of them yet they just looked good so I copied them to use this Christmas if the kids get home.

Torte California Dip is a good one:

2 pkgs cream cheese, softened
8 ounces feta cheese
1 to 2 garlic cloves
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried thyme leaves, crushed
3 tbsps pesto sauce, well drained
1/3 cup roasted red peppers, drained, chopped
Line a souffle dish or load pan with plastic wrap
Place cream cheese, feta cheese and garlic in food processor and process until blended. Add oil and thyme; blend well
Place one third of cheese mixture in souffle dish, cover with pesta sauce, layer with 1/2 of remaining cheese mixture, then peppers, then last layer of cheese. Cover. Refrigerate.
Unmould: remove plastic wrap. Smooth sides. Serve with crackers or french bread.

I have a reipe for cream cheese brownies and they are really good if interested
