That is such a shame. Seriously. When you think about what they are doing, doesn't it seem so foreign and impossible to you? I couldn't even bring myself to downvote THEIR picture, even if I knew who was doing it. Mostly because it is a picture of a child, but also because it just seems so low. I guess some people don't mind being the lowest of the low. Very sad

What you did was the right thing, NS, even if another person tried to be mean about it. It was just that person seeing that you are a good person, and they are NOT, and it made them feel bad about themselves so they had to say something ELSE mean. My dad is like that!

Ok guys (gals), I need help. On Thursday night I started coughing like I had something stuck in my throat. On Friday I was fine all day but by Friday night I was starting to lose my voice. Yesterday it was just a squeak. I cough but it's a dry cough and it's doing nothing to help clear my throat. My head is pounding because of all coughing, I'm out of Aleve (which I can only get in the US) and Advil for migraines is the next best thing but they aren't working for me.
The strange thing is that I never had a cold to go with this. It just started overnight. I don't yell a whole heck of a lot although Friday was a PD day at school so I had 6 kids from 3-13 here all day. I have no allergies and overall I'm fairly healthy (a little overweight but healthy nonetheless). My son has been hacking for a few weeks but I figured that's because he's been sleeping in the basement and we started up the big old boiler a few weeks ago which gets the dust flying.
Any ideas? I started drinking hot water with honey this morning although I'm a diet pepsi addict so I really need one of those right now.


Lolcat... what ages are your girls? I recieved the bugalug hair clips last week and I did get 6 of them instead of just 1 (yeah) but they are for babies/toddlers and my step-daughter has too much hair for them to be of any use to her. I don't know anyone with little girls and I don't want them to go to waste. Do you want them?

On a side note, I sent an e-mail to Walmart asking them where on their web page I could find information on their price matching policy. The local store just called me today and said that each store has their own policy. They said that 1) you have to bring the competitors flyer with you (a given), 2) they will not match on products that state 'while supplies/quantities last' 3) when it's for a product that is a 'bonus pack', Walmart will only match it if they have the product in stock. They won't do substitutions (also a given) 4) they won't match 'buy 1, get 1 free' promotions and 5) the store has to be within 20km of the store I'm matching at.
My coupon group has had members with different experiences. One said the cashier wanted to call each of the other stores to see if the product was out of stock. If it was, she wasn't going to price match. There was a huge line up so the woman told her to go right ahead, she'd wait. Another said that because there wasn't a No Frills in her town, the cashier wouldn't price match it. The woman I spoke to today (I wish I wrote her name down) said to go on google.ca and print out a map showing the distance between the stores to prove it's within the 20km. This is good for me because we don't have a Food Basics or a No Frills in St. Thomas. Just an FYI!

Have you tried just swallowing a couple of tablespoons of the honey itself? Every time I got laryngitis when I was in school, I'd very slowly and purposely swallow some good honey, then I'd either stand in the steamed up bathroom or use one of those facial moisture machines (don't even know if they sell those anymore) to get some steam into my lungs and throat. You should definately see the doctor though, and your son too, because it sounds like something bronchial or maybe a pneumonia. Do you have any phlegm? Do you have pains in your chest? Any wheezing? Coughing is the worst! I'd rather be nauseous any day than cough.

Thank you for offering the hair clips to me! That is SO sweet!!! My girls are 4 and 1, but neither of them has much hair. My poor 4 year old has such wispy, fine hair.. she is jealous of any girl who has more hair than her... and my 1 year old has just enough to cover her head, but it is very fine too. I always forget how close you live, my inlaws live in St. Thomas as well! If we could figure some way to transfer them, I have TONS of hair goodies your step daughter would love, we buy all kinds of stuff to "test" it out in poor Winter's hair, but we have a whole box of stuff that won't stay in She's welcome to all of it

Anytime you come to London, you can totally stay at our place
We have a whole upstairs of our house that we don't use for anything but toys and video games! LOL It's the 'hangout'.
I've been here 5 years but I've never gone to the black donnelly area. I tend to avoid things like that a lot because the experience kind of sticks with me for a long time. But my stepson has been, and he says its really creepy!



My parents were like that, but we had no TV growing up, at all! I read a lot of books, let me tell you!

Oh and, that shop that sells the Betty purses, they are the teeny kind. If I ever see a big whopping one I am going to get it and send it to you! LOL

I have watched stuff on tv about the place and all the stuff that goes on at the donnelly homestead and I soooo want to go I love ghosty stuff so does my mom...dad doesnt want to go all the way to London though but we will drag him there someday.
aw only the tiny ones thats like here then they have lots of nice ones but none big enough to carry my life in...
bought a really nice black leather hobo bag last night and went to check it out today and there is a giant hole in the lining inside on of the zippered pockets so have to take it back on Sat on our way to my grandma's and damnit that was the last one in the store too that I could see never fails LOL
