I had a summer job at a lab when I was in university. It was lots of fun, although weird. Cause I was the summer student, my boss saddled me with the overly enthusiastic salesman who was trying to impress Hostess. I got to come up with new flavours for chips. Roast beef & onions, chicken cacciatore, and potato salad (tasted like a cross between sour cream & onion and salt & vinegar). Those were the "normal" flavours. I won't even get into the really weird ones.

I also came up with seasonings for puffed rice, puffed wheat, & pretzels. There was a really good apple cinnamon one for the puffed rice.

And, trust me, the pepper chocolate sounds really weird, but it's very good & very addictive.

My dh would love those flavor of chips, i remember a few years back they had like roast chicken, and a bunch of others. He loved them, was so bummed when he couldnt find them anymore. They were his fav

My brother bought me a Lindt chocolate bar with Chili peppers...really good...it gives you a nice kick actually

I will have to look for those my dh would love them, fill his stocking for xmas with them..lol

I was also one of the very fortunate ones to have the BEST mother in the whole world. I also considered my mom my best friend. I miss her every day and the pain just doesn't seem to go away. It will be 17 years on Saturday (Nov. 22nd) that's she ended her life. She was an abused woman by my father and she's in a safe place now. Although it was a HUGE price to pay to see her safe again, it's been very hard. Nov & Dec is a VERY tough time of the year for me. I also lost my grandpa who I took care of on Nov 24th, then my grandma died Dec. 20th and was burried on Dec. 23rd. But, I still try to be happy at the holidays. There's just a LOT of holes that cannot be filled by anyone

So sorry to hear about your family, you are so right there is a definite void around the holidays. I too lost my mother on November 27 & my husband lost his dad on November 26 two years after my mother died.

I have my three trees all decorated and lit up along with my candles in the windows...I also hung up my
curtain lights and it's sooo pretty!

i picked up a hannah montanah doll so my mom could give it as a gift.

it was marked 19.99. i was afraid mom would think it's too pricey, so i made sure to ring it in separate from my stuff so she could return it if she din't want it.

so i get to cash, it rings up 24.99!!! i'm like NOooooooo it's 19.99. then i'm worried. So the girls go and check, and sure enuf it's 19.99. So then i remember omg, i get $10 more off!! yes you do she says, and she rings up 19.99 and takes the $10 off.

i got hannah montanah for $9.99!!! omg.

well, my mom loved it (the price prolly more than anything).
