Hey, I got a card in the mail today from "Smart Canucks" LOL! It was so cute, and my hubby was tickled that they sent me one. I'm sad I couldn't get in on the Christmas card exchange but I just don't have time at the moment... I haven't even sent out the 20 or so regular Christmas cards I am supposed to send! LOL
Had to take Monet to Emerg. tonight, poor thing has a double ear infection. She kept saying "Ear huuuuurt" in the saddest little voice, and I knew if I waited overnight she'd be in terrible shape tomorrow. Strong antibiotics, sigh. At least since DH got full time at his job all our prescriptions are covered now! That is such a huge blessing.
I'm off to fold more laundry and wait for DH to get home. I finally gave up on that open mind thing myself.. one day I logged in and ALL of the 250+ that I had done were just gone somehow and I was back at a 0 count. I emailed them and they said they have no idea what happened. SO much for that! lol

In nursing school, they jokingly referred to some people as "Pneumonia Whisperers". There are some people who just have an ear for the way a pneumoniac lung sounds. I am totally one of them... Monet had Pneumonia in the summertime, very strange. I brought her to the ER, they said there was nothing, I sat myself on the bed and said "I am not leaving this emergency room until you give my daughter a chest x-ray". They did, and doctor sheepishly comes back in saying she has Pneumonia.
I dunno about that open mind... I had correspondance several times with the guy that runs it, I was really mad. He just kept saying there was nothing he could do, etc... I think it was just a fluke though, cause there are quite a few people who have gotten the gc's successfully and with no hassles.

AfterElton Interview with Gale
Posted by: admin · Filed under: News · 2 Comments
Quick Excerpt: Harold began his television career playing uber-gay bad boy Brian Kinney, acted in a number of small independent films, did a little Tennessee Williams on stage, and starred in the short-lived Fox crime drama Vanished before joining the cast of Desperate Housewives as Susan’s (Teri Hatcher) artist boyfriend, Jackson Braddock. But what role would he most like to play that he hasn’t yet?
“Sam, the Burl Ives role in Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer,” he said firmly. “What Burl Ives brought to the studio when he was doing those voices… I mean, you think Brian Kinney had an impact? For anyone who grew up in the United States around the same time I was growing up, you’d know that voice, have seen the Christmas special with the stop motion animation. It’s an iconic role. That’s what I’m interested in.”

I finally (finally!!!!!) got the siggy & avatar to work. Not that I have any clue how I managed it.
Those that offered to help me, thank you so much.
I saw Xmas Carol tonight at my regular hangout. Had to do coatcheck to earn my ticket, but it's a small sacrifice. Going tomorrow night to see a play about Leonard Cohen. Should be interesting (male nudity, woo hoo).Saw one person walk out in the middle of the show, another was raving about how great it was. Can't wait to decide for myself. Course, I'll probably like the parts the first guy hated, & hate the parts the second one loved. Just to be contrary.
Doing my voting now, hopefully I can get to bed soon. Hope everyone has a good night.

Hey, I'm not funny...just cause I wanna see a naked man. Well, I probably won't see much of anything with the artistic lighting and all.
Not like the time I took my Mom to see Hamlet. Great seats - 5th row centre. It was anything but traditional Shakespeare. Hamlet & Ophelia start the show by slow dancing on the stage. Then the lights go down & my Mom asks why they're changing their clothes. Before I can answer, the lights come back up, Ophelia is lying naked on a bed, & we have a, um, perfect view of Hamlet in all his glory giving a soliloquy. To this day I have nightmares of naked Hamlet.
Years later, when I first started hanging out at the theatre, the actor who played naked Hamlet had a show on. Try as I might, I could not make eye contact with that poor man without blushing. At one point I was introduced to him & it took all I had to keep my eyes at an appropriate level.

roflmao too funny and with your mom too although your mom sounds like she is cool and probably didn't even bat an eyelash at the nudity. lmao did you ever tell him you'd seen him in Hamlet?
Well done with my pogo badges very easy ones today. Told some idiot bible thumper off who was ranting at someone for a joke that while in bad taste didn't deserve to be called evil. SOOOO I informed her if she were truly religious she'd of either ignored the joke or left the room but she would not of judged this person found them wanting and preceded to preach to them about Jesus. So instead of doing what she should of she instead caused an argument and turned everyone that didn't have strong religious views off from religion, good job! lmao told her I had no desire to sit here and listen to her bs and with that I left the room. OMG i've wanted to do that for so long, I absolutely get so pissed at people that claim to be so religious but they are some of the meanest people you'd ever meet. I have strong beliefs but I also don't go around pushing them off on others. My beliefs are not very well accepted by the organized religions anyway. lol I guess I should of just left but tired of holier then thou attitudes.
Going to start painting a lighthouse tomorrow for my daughter hoping to have it done by Christmas. I got some little buckets, shells, a wheel like a ship has things like that to glue to the base of it but having a hard time deciding on how I want the colors doing it blue and whilte. It's unfinished wood and about 2 feet high. Part of it has a door in it which when you open there is a place to hang necklaces or keys whatever u want. I think she'll like it.

I got a email the other day. I've entered Allure contests forever and not won anything but for the first time I got to enter all those August ones where you could enter 5 times a day every hour from I think 12pm est to 5pm, they had it the entire month of august instead of just the few days at the beginning of every month. Anyway you all probably know all that but I won something. It's John Freida hair umm glaze. You use it after you shampoo let it set for 3 minutes and rinse it out. Supposed to make your hair very shiny. So excited lol I know its not a big prize but I'm excited I finally won something from allure.
