Hi friends!

I made it back from my trip.... barely

We made it to the wedding the day after we arrived....but the day after that I ended up in the hospital....pneumonia and bronchitis. So I spent 4 of the 5 days laid up sick instead of visiting friends or family. Only ventured out this morning to catch the plane back home and am still feeling quite icky. I don't know what the heck I'm gonna do about Christmas and the kids. I haven't been able to shop, am not up to going to the grocery, and Christmas is closing in

I think we'll just have to eat at the USO, and the kids will just have to understand that I did what I could. This is the first Christmas for them without their father around at all, and I wanted to make it so good that they didn't even miss him....so much for that

I guess it will be ok...we have each other...I just don't want them to be disappointed....

ok, now off to freak out in private....sorry to whine...but I'm just losing it

So sorry you're not feeling great. I would do the same that others have suggested. Make a great day when you are feeling better and stronger. Family is more important than things, anyways.

Here is a picture of my nephew who was just born on Dec 7th...

What a cutie patutie!! Mine didn't have that much hair. He has blond hair and is super fine. It was really funny when I was pushing him out. My doctor said "are you expecting a baby with lots of hair?" And I said back to him, "Not if he looks anything like his dad!!" Everyone was on the floor laughing. But, that's how I deal with stress ... just make jokes about it all. Everyone benefits somehow.

That is fantastic!! And fast. I remember when I broke my arm, I had my cast on for 8 weeks. Lucky girl!!

ok well i'm exhausted and off to bed. I guess no one knows the answer to the karo corn starch, I think I'll go with my feelings on it and skip it. Not familiar with Karo at all so hoping it comes out right. Am betting tho last year that is what I did and it came out great.

Good evening all!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, my SC Family!

We already had ours on Sunday, since DH has to work, but I think we are going over to the neighbor's tomorrow afternoon to exchange gifts. IF we can get out our front door. The snow was so bad here, I paid some guy on an ATV with a plow on the front 10 bucks to plow out our laneway at 6am, so DH didn't have to do it when he got home. It took him 30 minutes, and he got stuck twice! LOLLL

RQ... I am so sorry! I wish I could come there and do all your shopping and cooking while Winter pretended to doctor you up, but unfortunately I am quite a few thousand miles away Try to focus on getting well, and I am sure the kids will understand. Tell them you will give them a belated Christmas, and that it will be a lot of fun. I know, it is hard, but you getting better is the most important part.

PF... what a CUTE little bug that baby is!! Both of my babies had 20 wispy blonde hairs combined, a shock of dark hair like that makes me grin! I hope you get to see him sometime.

Hugs to all, I'm off to bed... This pregnancy has me more tired than I've ever been in my life. I even had a 2 hour nap this afternoon!!
