We spent yesterday at my parents' & came home this morning in this winter wonderland misery. Yuck. The only one happy about the weather is the dog, and even she has her reservations. She was looking out the window, saw the snow & couldn't wait to go out & play. When she realized it was the slushy stuff, she high-tailed it back inside. The cat just whined about having to leave the comfort of the nice warm dog bed (it was supposed to be the dog's, but he claimed it) to go out into the cold, even though he was wearing his nice warm dog coat.

These are the days I'm happy I live in a condo & don't have to shovel the snow. Of course, lazy as I am, I'd just teach the dog to clear a path.

Maybe they're dyslexic? Or failed high school typing class? I'm wondering if it's their way of making sure people read the articles instead of guessing at the potential words. Though I don't know how anyone would have guessed breifcase as a point word. At least it wasn't spelled breefkayce.

Reminds me of a time I was at the vet's office taking the dog for her annual check-up. There was a man talking to the receptionist, trying to explain how to spell his cat's name. "That's not how you spell Lady," he said.

The poor receptionist looked confused.

"It's spelled L A Y E D E I G H."

All I could think was thank goodness my parents vetoed my first choice of name for the dog, or I'd spend hours just telling people how to spell her name.
