Thanks for all the words everyone! Gave rep where I could!

Another weekend has gone by! They seem to go by SOOOO darn fast! My sister called yesterday to see if we would be around in the afternoon as they felt like driving up for a visit. Shaun told her he was off but I had two clients. I told her I would work my 10:30 to 12:30 one and then would take a few hours off and then instead of my 1:30pm one, move him to 3:30pm. His meal was already done, just had to make some white dumplings for his rabbit stew! It was important to him that I spend some time with my nephew So sweet of him to think of me too

We had a wonderful visit and got to take a few more pics too! I got to feed him too, momma had pumped some milk out of her milk jugs so I could bottle feed him I got him to burp, pee and poop too! I felt like I was back on "Pet Society" for a minute!!! We had a great visit and n'oncle Shaun got to spend a lot of time with him as well!

I'm in the midst of working on a big "thing" right now and it involved having to report my brother's ex-gf to the Registered Nursing Board of Nova Scotia and lodge a complaint against her. There are aleady 3 tri-counties she's not allowed to practice in due to a HUGE incident that had occured about 6 years ago. Now she's at it again and am almost sure she will lose her license. She actually has her degree in nursing. But, this time, she went WAY over the line and it involved my entire family and she was extremely hurtful. Some of you may recall a few months ago me going through a "delicate" incident. Well, she was the person causing lots of grief and my other nephew wasn't in a "safe environment" and child protection services had been contacted by her own husband regarding my nephew as he had left her and took the 2 4 month old twins with him. He had also contacted the police and it was just a very sad situation. My brother was ready to take his son if he needed to, although he was concerned with removing him from his school as it was a few hours away from their place. To make a long story short, the husband went back, my nephew is no longer in "jeopardy" (so we think) and things are being monitored closely. It's so sad as the kids are the ones that always suffer. So, I emailed a package of "print screen shots" and Word Documents to the board and they will be reviewing them this week. My sister is also a registered nurse so she is very familiar with the nursing code of ethics and she HAS indeed breached them...the sad thing is, this person works in a psyche unit and she should actually be a patient there instead of an RN helping others...SAD

I just wish she could get the help she requires and then live a happier life but she doesn't want that for herself so everyone else will suffer for it...

Heading to Pet Society now! Hugssssssss! Another big storm starting here in another 3 hours or so...HUGE WINDS And snow I think...they are calling it a big weather bomb!

    Welcome Gebraroest!
I only have 23 ps friends... all my other fb friends don't seem to want to join. They don't know what they are missing!
Lots of wind here and a few cm of snow. I went out earlier in the morning to pick up groceries and missed the storm which was good. I left DD at home with DH as sometimes (especially in this weather) it is just faster to go by myself.

So this afternoon I cooked 4lbs of ground beef as I am making a double batch of crockpot chili. DH always seems to eat it all before I can freeze some (I like taking some to work for supper) so there is one for us, one for the freezer.
I also made a double batch of my great-great aunt's (she is now 101) homemade granola. It made my whole house smell like vanilla.

Off to play in ps for a bit before amazing race starts!

I just made the best potato and leek soup, mmmm. First time ever and it was amazing, just made some garlic bread with it and that was dinner but my boys refused to eat it so they had bread for dinner cuz with my back busted I'm not making two meals.
Deciding to get the slow cooker and sending hubby tomorrow with $25 of CT money to get it for free. I think 4 qts will be enough for us cuz my kids rarely eat our food, they are soo picky. They prefer chicken and fish all day every day or pasts or mac and cheese. Anyways I will be asking around soon for slow cooker recipe forums and recipes

I just did "the best pork stew" in the crockpot according to my hubby who was sick and couldn't eat it...

on another note, here's something for yas:

I once got attacked by a horny bull moose while trick or treating, so I feel these kids' pain.
I was trick or treating deep in the wilds of the Yukon with a group of my fellow tone-deaf musical chairs champions and head-trauma sufferers in a pack formation (safety first). I spotted a Mongolian Humping Pheasant in a nearby privet bush, and decided it could be my one shot at breaking out of the musical chair racket and pursuing my dream of X-treme freestyle ornithology.
Calling on my years of training with the feared Bonzai Banana and Shrimp Ninjas, I slinked up on the Humping Pheasant who had mistaken a discarded soda can for a mate in the throes of sexual excitement. As a side note, this is a prime example of why the Mongolian Humping Pheasant is such a rare breed.
Crouching in my most fearsome Shrimp Ninja attack posture, I planned to spring upon the pheasant, when it suddenly got its winky caught in the pop-top, and upon realizing that its mate really had it by the twig and berries, and having a sudden flashback to a National Geographic article it once read about the dreaded australian bifurcated trouser snake and its habit of eating its mate after reproduction, the bird emitted the mongolian humping distress call, which, until this moment, science had never realized sounded almost exactly like the sound of a female yukon mating moose (this is the sort of tragedy that can occur when the government curtails scientific research funding).
As I'm sure you guessed, I used my Shrimp Ninja grappling hook and a nearby Stinking Sap Oak to lower myself down upon the privet bush in order to avoid startling the pheasant further, and possibly causing it to bifurcate itself, if you get my drift. Just as I was about to attain my prize and say goodbye to the oppressive musical chair trade once and for all, a mature adult bull moose came crashing out of the underbrush, and he wasn't interested in dinner and a movie, if you continue to get my drift.
My Shrimp Ninja skills were of little use as I dangled from my ninja grappling hook by one hand holding a very embarrassed Mongolian Humping Pheasant in the other, leaving the moose free reign to privet my pheasant, if you haven't gotten sick of following my damned drift.
Alerted by the cacophony of a man-pheasant-moose tryst, my friends ran to my aid, pelting the moose with miniature snickers bars and york peppermint patties. Realizing it was outnumbered, and in no mood to get a cavity or the gum disease known as gingivitis, the moose retreated to its evil yukonian moose lair.
In the confusion, the Mongolian Humping Pheasant managed to dislodge its love knockwurst from the aluminum passion persimmon of doom, and I was forced to spend the next several years in the cutthroat life of a musical chairs mercenary.
So take heed, unwary children of Canada! Be glad there are mounties armed with rubber bullets there to protect you from the carnality of nature. You never know when you'll find yourself in a life or fornication struggle, and have no miniature snickers to protect you.

I joined Winster Jan 2nd and play everyday; another daily addiction but lots fun. It seems that as a Canadian, if I win anything, it was suggested I find a U.S. friend & have it sent to their home.
I'm just accumulating points right now; just under 1 million.

    Hello and welcome ...

Well we're back from a great weekend; CCR concert was packed
and lots of great music. The only original members were the
drummer and lead guitar however the lead singer sure has an amazing
voice - they sang all my favorites.

We will be seeing Joe Cocker in May - now that's one more I can't
    wait to see.

Well I'm off to bed... late nights just wear me out. See you tomorrow.
    Night all.

    newfie joke

In Newfoundland, many do not pronounce the letter "H". for example hot dog is pronounced ot dog and Home Hardware is pronounced ome ardware.

Words are often abbreviated.. it is called speed speaking.
    Following is an example.

One day in Class for 1st graders, the teacher was asking her class to describe the use of Ozonol.

Little Mary got up and explained that she had fallen while
roller skating and scratched her knee. She went home and her Mother cleaned the cut and put a bandage with Ozonol on her knee and it was all better.

The teacher was so proud and then asked other children if they had any explanation of the word.

Little Aro (Harold) raised his hand and started to explain.
Well Teacher, DA udder nite, me an my fodder are watching DA Montreehal and Tampa Ockey Game. An den my mudder start to do DA vacuum. Den, my fodder, yell at my mudder, Lard tunderin, Louise, put dat dam ting away now or I'll stick it up your arse "Ose n, all".

    Snake.

It's starting to storm right now.

I'm going to try to watch some of the Oscars. They can be a bit boring at times.
