that recipe for the poor man's cake, omg! i was so craving dessert after having shake and bake chicken. (what i do is marinade the b/s chicken in fat free italian dressing, and then drain it and shake it ). i was thiking i should have added oregano to the shake and bake, but OMG WOW, what flavor!! it didnt' need any! i used the pc bluemenu italian dressing. and you talk about juicy chicken! hubby even gave me a kiss for it..

ok, he was walking past and noticed i puckered up..

but he ate it all so must be a good sign eh?

so now i'm off to make that recipe..no seek i'm not ignoring you. i'll bbl go win us some sbs.

no i didnt forget about the photoshoot! just going to have some fun wed night LOL instead of spending it alone in a hotel room hehe

Man it is still so cold here! It is nice to have the sun still up later in the day now though, I really need some outdoor light in my life! On the first sunny, half-decent temperature day I am opening every window in my house and dusting everything. Anyone else's house feel all stale and nasty?

Went to my folks yesterday & stayed overnight (critters too, can't leave them behind ).

You'll have to tell me what the hotel is like - I've only ever been in 2 hotel rooms in Toronto, both times visiting locals who were curious about the hotel. I'm too cheap to pay for a hotel in my hometown.

I'm off to bed, the brats were too excited to sleep last night - the dog spent the night patrolling, checking on each of us, while the cat kept coming into my room & meowing at me that I wasn't getting up to play. Argh! They know they have to sleep through the night here, but the rules go out the window at my parents'. Did I mention just how spoiled they are?

Least it feels now that some people must have the master list or something. Hope you all slept well and have a great day today. 3:12am still haven't been asleep so gonna go try now. dh wouldn't go get my stronger pain meds last night said he'd get them this morning before work. All I can say is he dang well better get up in time or i'm gonna kick his butt up between his ears!

I am jealous of anyone that is getting it, cause I'm not!! Year 4 and counting.

So how does this make work? Raw cake dough in the pan and then pour the sauce on it? How does it turn out? Like sticky cake or something? Sounds easy enough hence the poor mans cake name but how is it really?

The cake rises up over the sauce, the sauce gets thicker (like a thin pudding) and then you just scoop it out of the pan. You eat it hot or at least warm. Have you ever bought the sauce& cake mixes? It is very much like that, but I find home made tastes better.


Good morning all. I am getting so excited for March break and our little trip to Quebec. I am taking the kids tubeing, dog sledding and into to Quebec City to see the Ice hotel.
