NS... Dirty Rice, in my experience, is rice with meat in it. Usually ground beef. I love that stuff, and I had the best dirty rice ever when I was in New Orleans, because it is a very creole type of dish. I love those "Zataran's" brand rice mixes, if you've ever seen them at the grocery store, they have an awesome dirty rice mix.
Yes that's basically it - homemade though is much tastier than
the mix. We took a cooking class in New Orleans and learned a
few tips specially making roux. I'm not crazy about plain white
rice but I love dirty rice and mexican rice.
Hi all..
I know we don't have many babies here, but does anyone in this thread need Enfamil or Good Start coupons? I have a bunch, and before I offer them to the coupon board I figured I'd offer to you guys. I also have some really soon expiring (3/31) "BeechNut Good Morning/Good evening" $1/5 coupons... anyone?
I have a $2.00 coupon for pampers if anyone wants it.

incredible invention his vaccum.
I was in an incredible room this morning; winnies galore and we all
took turns getting a jackpot - I got 3 today. The new scoring system will drop off your negatives so don't worry about it. Luckily,
there far more nice people than ornery ones lol
Thank you for all the words!! And here I was all caught up too.
Oh Kim, I am so envious - I have been trying to get a black cat but
they want way too much in trade. One said she'd give me one for
10 gold mystery boxes.... yeah right! I got a green four leaf clover
chair yesterday; couldn't figure what it was until I read it in the Forum.
Ghost Whisperer is on so I will say "Goodnight" - see you all later.'Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.'

Come on by anytime. The only thing is my place is tiny, so you'd have to share the dog's bed if you're staying. Or the cat's, although he doesn't share (typical boy!). Don't have much, but there's usually food in the house...just don't eat the dog food.
Although my mom swears she eats better than I do.

Oh, I love boxers. I have a happy ending boxer story for you. A sweet little white boxer girl was owned by a certain individual who was having problems. Seems the dog kept biting her, no matter what she did. 3 trainers couldn't figure it out. A trainer I know was sort of the dog's last chance. Dog was behaving perfectly, everything seemed fine, then suddenly the boxer girl bit the owner. The trainer rushed the owner to the hospital, not because of a bite, but because the owner was having mini strokes. The dog was trying to tell the owner, but no one was willing to listen, so she was escalating the bites to get through to her. The dog is now living in the lap of luxury, spoiled rotten. She's also been trained to do a less painful alert to medical issues.
There are many schools of thought on what dog food is good & what is bad, & whether one should give vaccines or not. Ultimately, what works for one dog, may not work for another. Just like people.
The best way to see if a dog food is decent is to check the ingredients. If they have meat listed first (chicken, beef, etc) and not a meat by-product, it's a plus. Then you have to check for fillers. Ultimately, it really depends on the dog - some dogs do very well on less than perfect food, other dogs do badly on the best foods. & if you have a fussy dog that won't eat the food at all, well, then even if it's the price of caviar, it's not useful.
Do you do regular ear cleanings? Once the infection dies down & his ears don't hurt, try once a week putting a mix of vinegar & rubbing alcohol (about a teaspoonful) in his ear canal & rubbing, before letting him shake it out (best done outside or in the tub - I know it well).
Hope your baby feels better soon.
