Sorry haven't been on around here much lately but just needed a "break"...there has been so many things going on Shaun not feeling well, I had doctor's appointments and then one of my co-workers, Gloria, had her aorta bust and usually within 24 hrs you die but she went 3 days and was airlifted to Halifax after suffering a coronary and she underwent a 7 hour surgery...she's still in the induced coma and on life support but is breathing on her own but her kidneys are in complete failure so is receiving dialysus...she used to be the housekeeper for one of my veterans and I replaced her when her mom got ill and she had to take care of her. She's only 60 years old...then one of her clients who is a veteran just died yesterday and he was 88 years old and he took the news about Gloria really bad and he ended up with pneumonia and wasn't getting better and he died yesterday early morning and then this morning my client's sister's b/f had an aneurism in the stomach and made it to Yarmouth hospital but they didn't think he'd make it to Kentville and he passed on and I think he was only 68...so, I've had to take on my old client again and am back to 3 now and just trying to console everyone and keep everyone happy! At the same time, a school friend of mine was just brought to the old folks home here (she's only 41) and suffers from MS of the brain (I know, I had never heard of it either) so I've been trying to visit with her and help her "adjust" and trying to visit my 90 year old grandmother that is at the same home but just went through the Norwont virus 3 times and not really being able to go around her though...but her Alzheimers has reached the "no eating" stage and she's lost 27lbs since October so I know it's just a matter of time...so, as you see, things have been pretty hectic! When too many things start going on, I shut off for other things and keep to myself!
PLEASE keep my friend, Gloria, in your thoughts and prayers...the doctors don't know HOW she survived this and call it a miracle as it took them 3 days to discover it was the Aorta that was busted...as for Adolphe and Ralph that just both passed, they will be in a MUCH better place

That one was my fav too. Think I should tell it at the wife appreciation dinner the firefighters put on for us this weekend?
PF, take care of you and Shaun. Glad you checked in, though. Gloria will be kept in our thoughts.
So, I just had quite the day. Tyler had his shots yesterday and was a total bear all day. He broke into tears every 5 min, whether or not I was with him. He was terrible at dinner, so I bathed him and gave him a little something after his bath. DH got home just in time to put him to bed, and he had to turn right around and go to the fire hall for training. And, just as he was leaving, the dog escaped out the front door. The dog "broke the camel's back" for me, and threw me into a tailspin of emotions. I think I'm over it now, but man, what a day. I was good all day until the dog got out, then the tears started.
Now, I'm just relaxing, and catching up before I go out and yell for the dog. Then, I'm off to bed to prepare for another potentially long day with Tyler again tomorrow.SwagBucks.com - the premiere digital dollar. Earn SwagBucks to redeem for great prizes. Amazon.ca are available here!

Pf: sorry for eveyrthing your going thru right now. My dh had the aneurysm in his stomache and one 8 months later they discovered in his aorta while they were doing a triple bipass. my dad had an aneursym in his aorta too. those are scary things.
will keep your friend gloria in my thoughts. hope everyone else finds the strength they need to get thru all this tragedy. and hope shawn feels better.
amy: bronchtis i know my brother had, but i dont' beleive it's contagious. hope u and kids feel better.
what else? anyone that is wondering about that virus, and needs proteciton or info. just go to www.zonealarm.com it's a very trustworthy program that cyberangels use, if you don't currently have a firewall/ antivirus program. supposedly it can run along side a 2nd one, but i wouldn't trust it along side mine. mine is suppesd to be what the fbi uses. (who the hell knows..eastlink tell u anything to sell it).
i've got my system set to high just incase. but apparently as long as your av updates are current and your windows updates are all installed you should be ok.
but i had that comp problem a few months ago so i'm not really sure about anything anymore!
