OK, i got her email from Boo. So basically I said we're missing her, hoping everything is okay, and that we normally would send a mountie out but lately they haven't been returning, donno why, and inserted this pic (hoping to get her attention)
so hopefully we'll hear back that she's okay, and better yet, maybe she'll drop in and say hi.Last edited by NSangel; Sun, Apr 5th, 2009 at 07:40 PM.

You betcha.
Of course, I'm lazy & just reposting the original note I sent. If you have any specific questions or wanna try something different, let me know. Jusr a word of warning if you try rice flour or something other than all-purpose flour, it is very hard to roll out the dough. Actually, the cookies I was baking last night/early this morning were peanut butter & oatmeal. I took rolled oats & put them in the blender & ground them up into dust.
Well, just about, then sifted them through a strainer & used as if it were flour. A bit of a pain to roll out the dough & really only works with peanut butter (really icky with carrot
). Had no choice, cause my friend's dog is allergic to wheat, so used oats.
If ya come by my place, I can bake you a big batch. & I'll make you shortbread too. Anyone else wanna come for a visit? I might even tell you which ones are for dogs & which for people.
Banana Dog Cookies
Mash 2 bananas.
Add 2 cups water & mix thoroughly until consistent.
Add enough flour to make a thick dough.
Roll out to about 1/2inch thickness (can be thicker if you want chewier cookies, but they won`t last as long).
Cut out shapes using cookie cutters (or a glass or a knife, etc).
For Chewy Cookies:
Bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
Turn off oven & allow to cool.
For Crunchy Cookies:
Bake at 200F for 45 minutes.
Turn off oven & allow to cool.
You can substitue anything in the world your pup likes. I`ve found the dogs in my neighbourhood (they know me as the cookie lady) all like cauliflower, broccoli & banana. Most like apple & carrot. Some love pear, but some will turn up their nose at it.
Peanut Butter Cookies
Whip 1/2 cup pb until creamy.
Mix in 1/4 cup milk until the pb is thin & runny (may need to add more milk - can use water if lactose intolerant, I just find milk makes the cookies creamier).
Lastly, I either dehydrate liver (have a dehydrator which is great), but the, um, aroma can be overwhelming. Not to mention annoying when a certain feline starts to scream at me to hurry the process along. I've also been known to make liver cake.
Liver Cake
1lb liver
1 egg
1.5 cups flour
Mix everything together in a bowl - should have a consistency like a brownie.
Put in a cake pan.
Bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
Cool & serve.
Refrigerate leftovers.
Great for b-day parties.
If you make the chewy versions of the cookies or the cake, keep in mind that it should be eaten within a week, depending on how warm & humid your environment is. The crunchy cookies last a couple of weeks with no problems (in a sealed container). You can also freeze them & change the recipe to cut the amounts in half or double without altering the recipe.
Let me know how they turn out if you decide to bake them.

Sorry can't remember who asked for the links to our SC entries (weekend's been too busy for my brain
). The
downvoters are at it again. I've been going through & giving perfect scores to as many entries as I can.
ENTRIES TO VOTE FOR
Mott`s Apple Of My Eye Photo Contest
Amy - their brotherly love is contagious
http://apple-of-my-eye.sheknows.com/...-is-contagious
NSAngel
http://apple-of-my-eye.sheknows.com/...ater-alligator
If I`ve messed up the links (which I've been known to do often), PLEASE fix em & let me know. & if you want to add your entry to the list, please do so!
NS - if you're tying people down, does that mean your dungeon has a TV?
Hope everyone has a good night. I'm off to bed soon, just doing a bit more voting. The cat keeps coming up to me & yawning. I think he's trying to tell me something.
