I've got 2 friends who are going through this as well. My friend who had the surgery, her dream job came up just before she went in hospital, & the nitwits held interviews on the day she was in surgery! Needless to say, she didn't have a chance.

My other friend has been waiting 2 years for a certain job to come up, it finally does, but she's going through a lot with her Mom really sick & she would've had to start the job the day before going in for a "procedure" (not exactly surgery, but close). If anyone has prayers to spare, she'll be in hospital Monday for the procedure.

You never know, maybe there's reason you didn't get the job - a better one might be around the corner. At least, that's what I keep telling my friends.

A really cute & smart little parrot. My first pet was a budgie, got him for my 4th b-day. I taught him to stay in my doll carriage while I wheeled him all around for hours. They make wonderful pets.

I already feel so welcome Thanks everyone!Andit your pets are so cute, your cat can pass for my cat they look identical lol. I also have pets, A german shepherd/lab cross who will be 1 next month. A Chihuaha, a cat, two turtles and a budgie. Oh and my sister has a pitbull. Hmm am I missing anyone...I had a beta fish but he died in the winter.I'll post some pics when i figure out how to lol.

Sounds like you have a fun household! I only have Lily dog (5.5yr choc lab, collie of some sort, greyhound is the best guess) & Quincy cat (2.5 but as silly as a kitten). The cat was quite feral when he came to live with us, but now he's a big baby & does dog tricks. He refuses to do housework, so it's up to poor Lily to be the maid (I'm too lazy to do housework).

It was stunning here today.. we took the kids to a little nearby trail and let them run and run, then to a park where they had a "Picnic" with all sorts of wierd goodies we got at the dollar store

Hi Lualemon! Welcome to the family. I'm one of our two resident pregnant ladies, and I do the "Wiki" for everyone! It is a webpage I maintain at least once a day where I post all the words that we have put here in our forum thread. If you want a nice neat list of all the current P&P words with their expiration dates, just check it out. I put up the newest words in Bold font, and keep them in bold font for at least 24 hours, so you can just check it quickly in the evening to see what is new

Welcome to the group lualemon. Just be careful in here some of them are a little bit strange, but don't tell them I told you that.

Too bad on the job Firefly, but like the rest said, something better will come along.

Andit - I too had a budgie named Charlie and he was blue, I also had a green one named Freddie. (Name them after some TV show that was on in the 90;s, but danged if I can remember it now). They picked up the buzz from my answering machine, it was funny to listine to the sing with the buzz thrown in every now and then.

Not much going on here. Still working on the pool and killing skeeters. I got more crap vaccumed out of the pool last night. I love my pool but I hate that I have one more thing to vaccum in the summer. LOL.
