Morning,
Just got home from work - the mangers being ubber nice again. Im starting to worry LOL. Have to find anew cell by July 1st my contract is up and they will jack my bill up - also need a new phone since mine randomly shuts off or dials itself / doesnt ring. Any ideas of what to get?

Morning all.

Yesterday, the wind kicked up & I found myself in a sort of Marilyn Monroe moment...except when my long skirt blew up over my head, I looked more like a deformed squash.

I discovered last night that my cat loves catnip. I had tried some dried catnip with him last year & he ignored it, so I figured he didn't like it. Turns out he's a connosieur & only likes the fresh stuff. A neighbour of mine gave me some fresh catnip - apparently it grows wild around here, so I'm gonna have to go hunting. I put the catnip down on the counter, & while I took the dog out (we were gone 5 minutes max), the cat ate ALL of the catnip. I came home to find the cat bouncing off the walls. He came running over & screamed at me, then sat & banged his head against the wall (oh, I so wish I had the camera close by - I still have the song with the lyrics Bang your head, Mental health going through my head!). I noticed a half inch piece of stalk on the ground & reached down to pick it up - the little brat pounced & gobbled it up in half a second. He spent most of the night running around & made me get up & change his litterbox 3 times.

Gonna spend today baking & cooking, off to visit friends tomorrow. The hostess has a new puppy I'm dying to see & my other friend is playing chauffeur, so figured I'd bring some grilled zucchini, potatoes paprikas & I'm gonna try my hand at making apple strudel (the cheater's way, I am so NOT making my own pastry - seen my Mom make the pastry so many times & know what a pain it is, so got some phyllo sheets from the store).

Also gonna go check on my friend's place later - I'm house-sitting while she's on vacation. She's got a lovely indoor pool at her condo - too bad I don't swim.

It's warm & sunny here. My neighbours are already complaining about the heat, but the brats & I love it. I figure if I complain about the cold, I have no right to complain about the heat. When I was younger my dream was to move to the desert.
